We recently had a 19-month-old Coton de Tulear ("Caesar") come to stay with us for a few hours because he is for sale and we're thinking of getting a dog. Our dog died last summer and we've been torn up without him. Anyway, Caesar was over and was enthusiastic to meet us. He was friendly, funny, went on walks nicely, met other dogs with no problems...however, he is high-energy most of the time, whereas our last dog was very low-energy. His current owners are giving him up due to having a new baby, plus doing construction on their house and can't give Caesar attention, so now when he's around us he just wants to run all over the house ALL THE TIME. The other big problem is that he humps our legs a lot. Our last dog didn't have this problem, so we don't know how to deal with this. Caesar doesn't seem aggressive or dominant and has been neutered already, so how can we get him to stop humping us? We don't want to be embarrassed if we have company over! Should we get this dog?
