Puggles, are one of the many so called "designer Breeds", in other words, mutts or mixed breed. Somebody started this scam about three years ago, by crossbreeding dogs, and selling the pups at very high fees. On the internet you can find any designer breed dogs/puppies from $1,200 and all the way up to $2,500.
Puggle are mixes between Pugs and Beagles. Shelter all over the country are now full with these designer breed dogs, as people got over the excitement of owning them.
I just adopted out a 5 months Labradoodle (Labrador/Poodle mix) that the owner bought few months earlier for $1,800, and didn't want it anymore, so he turned the pup into my rescue.
I have a Puggle right now, she's a female, red in color, two years old, housetrained, and weights 10 pounds. She's good with people of all ages, but i guess, it all depends in how a dog is raised.

Check out Petfinder.com. There are hundreds of pug beagle mixes on there (even puppies) Im sure you could find one there.
A fair price? Maybe $100 from a shelter or rescue...and that is going to include all shots and spaying or neutering!
I would not pay much more for one, and I certainly would not suggest you buying one from a so-called "breeder" as these "breeders" are just in it for the $$. Designer mixed breeds just come from mills and backyard breeders to make a quick buck.
Becareful where you buy from. Shelters and rescues are your best bet.

Pugles are Mutts... half pug and half beagle. Both breeds are generally good with children, as long as the children are not little terrors that mistreat animals. I personally would only pay money for a mutt if it came from a rescue or a shelter. I think the shelter in my area charges around $50 to adopt a dog from them, your area may vary though.

Look in the shelters. Seeing they are known as "designer dogs" people get them, and when they realize they are a handful (seeing that beagles and pugs are naturally more difficult to train, they need special people who do research on the breed beforehand) they dump the poor things in the shelters. Do not buy from a so called "breeder" because any breeder of a "designer dog" is only a backyard breeder. Do not support them.

A Puggle is not a breed, it is a mix. I would try the shelters or rescues if you are looking for a nice mix breed dog for the family. Adopting a mix in need is better then lining the pockets of an irresponsible breeder who delibrately breeds mixes.

My 22 year old son bought one for $1600 in early summer. She's a royal pain in the butt. She jumps on my nephew and niece...scratches them..because she's too excited.

I would not recommend them to anyone. She's horrible to housebreak... and just an all around pain in the butt.

They are overpriced mutts. Shop around...there are FAR better dogs for your little ones.

My sister's tenant also has one... a male... who recently got hit by a car..and is in a cast...also because the boundless amounts of energy these dogs display.

They can be good with children, every dog is different. They tend to be extremely energetic and need lots of exercise.

Plus, they are all "back yard bred" or Puppy mill dogs.

$200-$400 for a mixed breed?? You've got to be kidding me. And people are complaining about $100 adoption fees through a shelter (that helps pay for their spay/neuter)........ oive'

Avoid Missouri

You can ususally buy puggles at pet stores or you can probably check your local shelter. Puggles are good with children and for more information check wikipedia. I'm not sure about price though.
