It could. Take her to the vet so they can check her out and make sure. I know that one of the techs I worked with had her cat (while in the care of her frined) eat some cigarettes and we had to pump his stomach and he was really sick from it. so take her to the vet just to be safe because it wont be any fun if she gets really sick from it. And in the future have your brother put up his cigarettes to where she cant get them or at least have a better hiding spot like in a box your dog cant open.

If cigarettes can cause lung cancer in humans and chewing tobacco can cause cancers in the mouth how can it not cause problems with your dog, get her to the vet.

My lhasa apso has eatten a cigarette. We think he thought it was food, since everyone around him kept putting them to their mouths. He swiped one...luckily it wasn't lit.

He was fine. It'll all come out in the end.

I would check with a vet, cigarettes are full of toxins.

wait about a day & if she starts throwing up, not using the bathroom, or anything else then you need to take her to a vet.

No, it won't hurt her. Tabacco used to be used as a wormer in the old days.
