i was at a friends house just before christmas and their dog followed me into the bathroom, which didnt concern me, after peeing i could hardly get him to stop "inspecting" me. He seemed quite agressive about it, he seemed to get abit aroused i think. Has this happened to anyone else or is this a realy freaky dog? I know u see posts of weird stuff on the net but is this stuff for real? If I shouldnt even be asking this, I'm sorry.

ty for your answers. He didnt bark at me or growl or anything but he kept pushing pretty hard to get at me, and he did try to jump up on me once, thats when i notices his **** was sticking out. Hes always a realy gentle dog so I didnt worry when he followed me into the bathroom. Do u think the stuff about dogs is for real or just made up. Or do you think he knows stuff that he shouldnt?

Some dogs can be aggressive about smelling and even attempt to mount people. It is more of a dominance thing. Animals depend on scent to assess everyone and everything. I wouldn't consider it as sexual.

This is pretty common. By instinct that is the way dogs greet each other. There are sent glands (called anal glands) on both sides or the rectum that produce the individual smell specific to that dog. So to know who it is they are greeting they smell asses, sometimes walking in a circle while doing so.

They use that instinct and innate behavior to greet people too and as you said some can be pretty persistent in doing so. It may have intimidated you cause you did not know this but it is quite common

Nothing wrong with asking.
Dogs are naturally attracted to smells of many kinds, and your genital area is essentially a "smell factory". Dogs will be interested in this even if you are the cleanest person in the world (and regardless of whether you are male or female), because they can smell so much better than we can and your natural pheromones also attract them.

As for the dog's arousal, it was probably caused by your pheromones, which are designed to attract/arouse.
I suppose that male dogs would not be aroused by male crotches.

Sounds like your friend needs to train their dog to act better around company. This is an instinctive behavior for the dog, but if it were trained to not jump on people and whatnot when it was young it would have probably left you alone.

What was the dog doing in the bathroom with you in the first place. My dog doesn't even come in when I use the bathroom.
You have no idea where the dogs nose or tongue has been.Sounds creepy to me.

It's never happened to me. But I think it's happened to other people before. Don't worry about it. It's just a dog. Just don't let it come into the bathroom with you anymore.

Some dogs instinctually do that. Think about it, if you see two dogs in the park, when one dog does his business, the other dog runs over to smell the area.

Dogs generally like to sniff the "private" regions of other dogs or even other animals. It shouldn't be surprising if they want to investigate humans as well. I think its just instinctive curiosity.

Perhaps you shouldn't have an animal in the bathroom, which is really creepy in itself. Maybe next time you should shoo the animal out of the restroom. I really don't know what goes through the heads of animals, but some think a lot like humans, for example the monkeys and gorillas who supposedly share 98% of our DNA. I agree with you, that is freaky.
