Actually I have a hundred pound Lab that had a very serious reaction to a spider bite once. I would say just keep an eye on the dog, if it was bit and reacting you should know very quickly. Also, keep the vets number handy. Good Luck.

First of all, it depends on where you live. There are spiders that are poisonous to people, and ones that are poisonous to animals, and ones that are poisonous to both. But, for future reference, search it on the web. Put "poisonous spiders to dogs" or something similar in a search engine, or better yet, call your vet and as if there are any spiders he knows of in your area that can hurt your pooch! Your dog is more than likely fine! probably just a jumper or a wolf spider...no harm done except your dog ate the spider to catch the fly...then she'll eat the bird to catch the spider that ate the fly, then shell eat the cat to catch the bird that ate the spider that ate the fly....etc

It may not have been a poisonous spider, or not lethal enough to hurt your pom, Watch it for the next couple of hours and make sure the dog is okay. If your dogs starts having a reaction, get it to the vet ASAP!

Depending on the type of spider, size and health of your dog, and the venom of the spider, yes your dog can be hurt and even killed.
Just keep an eye on your dog for any out of place signs, and take him to the vet immediately if you notice anything.
However, the chances are your dog did not get bit and is most likely fine. Just watch the dog for water/food intake, lethargy (tiredness), balance, breathing problems, unusual twitching or paralysis.
Anything out of sorts, really.

it somewhat isn't any longer very superb i assume. each time I bypass to my pal's domicile I see jars there with rain spiders sitting in them...yet I admit i do unlike attempting to capture them as they are genuine creepy while they run speedy. ordinarily I only watch for them to bypass away through themselves. The funniest element I ever observed grew to become right into a guy attempting to hit a spider with an encyclopedia, he grew to become into so scared he fell backwards and over a chair.

Yes they can and the smaller they are the more it could harm them. I would just keep an eye on him and if anything out of the ordinary happens call the Vet asap!
