I read some funny dog stories a while ago and they all made me smile. I hoped that there would also be some cat stories for cat lovers like me!

Tiger needed surgery and he's the father of my other 2 kittys *3 months old* know the youngest kitty walks around the house smelling everything then goes to my bedroom where tiger would lie down and he justs sits there and crys then looks around and crys some more. Is it that he misses his dad or should I be worried?

maybe i misled some of you , i give my cat plenty of attention and play together constantly. he's actualy like my best friend,in fact his name is buddy cause he's my lil buddy..lol, i have his picture on my cell, picture in my car, i talk to co-workers about him like most do thier children...but the shower thing....iv'e never heard of a cat that will patiently wait outside the shower, then go nuts rubbing, licking and nibbling its owner once they got out. in fact if im not careful..while getting dressed he jumps on my bed and sneaks up behind me and bites my but..lolof course not hard but...i just wonderd if he was upset because i washed his scent of or the soap smell or something..thanks to all of you for your answers....hmmmm i wonder if we both need a mate, any single cat lovers out there..lol

I think my cat ate some poo or was exposed to some outside and the dog has giardia.
She somehow escaped the house and now I think she might get it from the dog.
I gave her some dewormer but will this help??

I don't want to give her something common like midnight or shadow. This is what i've come up with so far:
Noir- 'black' in french
Luna
Hazel
Onyx
Lana-attractive
Layla- dark beauty
Phoebe
Salem
Ivy
Venus
Zoe

Can you think of any other good names? or which do you like most from the above.

You can see a picture of her on my 360 page.

my cat goes crazy when i get home from work...he rubs all over me , meows like crazy, follows me from room to room everywhere i go. but what realy confuses me is that everyday i come home from work and shower and when i get out my cat goes nuts...he waits outside the shower, wont let me walk by him without franticly rubbing up against me, licking my ffet and legs, sometimes biteing softly. is it because of a scent change ?..soap?..or is he just nuts?

I have 3 kittens, now 6 weeks old. I know theyre due for their first round of shots in another 2 weeks (8 weeks old) and I've heard that some vets are willing to neuter them at that age, too.

They just seem much too young for that kind of surgery! Is it safe? They're going to be put up for adoption at PetSmart (where I work at the adoption agency) after they get neutered, so maybe I'm just not ready to part with them.

Is it fair/humane to have them neutered so young? Their testicles havent even begun to decend yet. How long should I wait, without waiting too long? (for them to be young enough to be adoptable)

crazy cat. is it stuck in him? will he digest it? it was made of some sort of fabric (not sure what kind) and had the plastic ends on it to keep it from fraying.

and I want to slather him with white icing and lick it off him ..... has anyone ever done this or thought about doing this..... OR I could go to Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme and ask them for a bucket of plain glaze and dip my cat in that; that might be more fun and tasty!!!

I just got my Kitten a week ago Wednesday. I don't know if I just have a cold or what. I have a stuffy/runny nose, sneezing, and headache. It seems like a normal cold. I started getting sick on Thursday which made a week and a day of having him. My husband got it too but not as bad and his is going away. I took benadryl allergy medicine and nothing has happend yet. Any suggestions?

I have a 2 year old (spayed) female cat and a 9 month old (neutered) male kitten. well, my little boy cat is always jumping, biting, chasing and fighting with my girl kitty. he's sometimes just so mean to her. all she does is hiss at him and nothing else. she has no front claws (don't worry, I regret having her declawed. I didn't know how cruel it actually was until after her claws were gone). but still, can't she still bite and swat at him? why doesn't she? I mean, she's older and has been with me longer. my boy is about the same size as her now and they are both kept strictly indoors. does she not realize that she can fight back? he doesn't hurt her but I'm just curious as to why. any answers will appreciated!! Thanks!

My husband and I just moved in with my parents while we are saving to build a house of our own. My mom has a cat who is extremely skittish. She hides all day under my mom's bed and, if it gets quiet enough, she'll come out only for my mom. If anyone else walks in the room, she runs and hides again! My cat will find her up under the bed and whereas he just wants to play and make friends, my mom's cat will hiss and provoke a fight with him. So they'll be fighting under my mom's bed. Our room is in the basement, where our cat mostly hangs out. However, my mom's cats' litter box and food are also in the basement. She's too scared to come downstairs so she's been going to the bathroom on my mom's carpet. My mom's OK with having her food/water bowls in her room with a towel up under them to protect the carpet, but there really isn't another appropriate place to put her litter box. So, we've come to the conclusion they are just going to have to learn to get along - any ideas???

I just got a new kitten today. She is biting her food bag and meowing loudly. I am puzzled by this strange behavior. Is she trying to tell me something of her past?

I helped get a kitten out of my co-workers car (literally the inside). She had crawled up in the engine to get warm and got stuck. Now I'd like to take her home but she has "goopy eyes". I'm not sure if she just has grease from the car in them or another kind of problem. I have just been wiping out her eye all day very gentley. I know I should take her to the vet but I'm not in the position to pay huge vet bills...What should I do? The kitten is about 6 weeks old.

Somebody just asked a question about their cat's whiskers, and at least one answer said "they'll grow back in about a month."

We adopted a stray in August, and the only evidence of her time on the street is a bent whisker. We've wondered if it bothers her...

It has not fallen out and grown back, as some people here claim it should've.

Comments?

And, do you think it bothers her? How on earth might it have been bent in the first place? (It's one over the eye, bent, not curved, in an L-shape.)

So, as you can see if you've answered my other questions-I recentley adopted a Calico kitten, and today we found an abandon kitten. Whom we named Misty.
So, Misty and Cali need to get there shots. So we were wondering how old cats/kittens have to be to get there shots.
Thats the quick question the next one is:
The kitt we found today-Misty is acting odd. I'm not suprised, but then she keeps meawing, and she dug her claws in our langerey, and began bitting it. Or I thought she was humping it or something. I'm very nervous, because I don't want my other cats and my dog to get anything. So any tipson how I can stop this behavior? But she just keeps meawing, and I'm scared. We can't take her now because all the vets are closed. Her meaw is just so odd and unlike anyother I've ever heard.
Thanks!

My 3yr old son jus got a kitten about 3 months old (i think), it wont stop ragging, nibbling and dragging all the wires in the house, the worst place is behind the computer table, not only may the kitten get electrecuted if it breaks a wire but its imposible to get it to come out and leave the wires. Also the kitten keeps sprinting at my legs then wrapping its paws abound me.
HOW do i make the kitten stay away from all the wires and my legs, and obviously i wont be using any violence of any kind so only helpfull answers please.

My dogs have fleas bad, I just gave them a bath, sprayed all the beds and furniture and gave them each a flea treatment, It all worked so far b/c I vacummed up a bunch of dead fleas. My question is, how to I prevent them from getting fleas when they go outside? I let them out to go to the bathroom and dont want them getting fleas or bringing them inside.

We have two 11 year old cats, both spoilt with a ridiculous amount of unconditional love (as all cats deserve). At night the female is no problem but, over the last couple of years the male has taken to walking all over us in bed, mee-owing in our ears and pawing at our faces during the early morning hours.

We've tried shutting him out of the bedroom but the scratching at the door (and wailing) kept us awake also. (Not surprising really as they have had the run of the house all their lives and my partner won't shut them downstairs in case of a fire). We have tried keeping him awake during the evenings by poking at him while he was trying to sleep to stop him being so active in the early hours but all that did was annoy him and it didn't really improve the situation.

Any (humane) ideas gratefully received!

She's not a teeny, tiny kitten....She's probably less than a year old from the looks of her. I have two fixed female cats (ages 8 and 2 yrs old) here in my apartment already and I believe we're not allowed to have more than 2, according to our lease agreement. I want to help her so badly, it's so blustery windy and cold outside and all last night I kept hearing her meow and meow, like she was crying. I went outside towards my car today and she comes trottin' upto me with the same lil meowing and so I got her food and fed her. She is still downstairs by the main entrance doorway, hours later. Poor baby! Where could I take her so she's warm? :-(
