The puppy's (2 1/2 months, mini schnauzer) not the problem, since he doesn't show any aggressive behavior toward the kitten (around 3 months, mixed breed). Somehow, he scares easily when my kitten "hisses" at him. I just got the puppy 4 days ago while the kitten was born in our attic and we adopted her since we found out of her existence in the attic (since her tail was injured; we let her 2 sisters go with their mom). The pup's not actually doing anything but my kitten's hair rises and she goes into the defensive when the pup goes near her.

My kitten's about 3 months old and she likes to "chew" my hand, especially when I'm petting her. I do think its just play for her. At first I didn't actually mind, but her "bites" are becoming more painful as sometimes she puts more force into it, but not to the point that my skin gets punctured. Sometimes she would also "chew" on my toes when I'm lying down. There are also times when she sort of "attacks" my feet even if I'm walking when she's in a playful mood.

I have a female cat that is always meowing though I cannot find the cause. She has water, food, and a clean litter box. This is beyond normal noise making. I have three other cats and they hardly ever meow. As far as I know she is in good physical condition. She's been to the doctor and had shots.

I've recently purchased 2 cats from the rescue they are both 5 month old a male and a female

The male always wants to bite me
Its always my socks or any part of skin or flesh

He'll rub up against my clothes say for instance my t-shirt and when he gets to my arm (skin) he'll bite it and it bloody hurts!
Or he'll rub up against my jogging bottoms and when he gets to my feet he bites my socks
If he cant reach with his teeth he'll grab my skin with his claws and pull my arm in and bite it

Is this aggressive behaviour or playful because sometimes he rolls onto his back and if i try and rub his belly he claws my hand towards his mouth

How do i go about letting him know that biting my feet / socks or any flesh is bad!?
I've kinda said NO!! and moved my feet away but he just chases them and once or twice ive held him away from my feet and he persists on getting to them

I just want to let him know its bad and i need to stop him doing it

Thank you for the advice on the fleaes. I washed the kitten with dawn dis detergent, that's what the vet said. I soaked her and scrubbed her well and picked the dead fleas off of her and there were a lot. I dried her and still found two, but they were dead and just on her. Most of the dirt is all gone too. I purchsed a flea and tick powder from Hartz for the basement floor to kill any eggs or fleas down there. Now more importanly is the kitten ready for her flea medicine I got from the vet? Should I wait one more week, since he is only 7 weeks old? It says to wait until they are 8 weeks old. Or should I bath him again and keep searching for fleas? So far I havent spotted any on her white towel. I am washing the old towels and cleaning out her cage. What next?????????? Thanks!

I know that I can't cut the quick/pink part, but there's still lots to poke me with if I just trim off the tips. When I trim my dog's claws, I trim off quite alot since they would just wear down anyway as he walks. But I don't know whether doing this to my cat would bother him. Btw, because he is a indoor cat, he doesn't need to defend himself, or get a chance to hunt.

Any help appreciated. I'm tired of being all scratched just because my cat scratches me as we are playing. Although I know he doesn't mean to hurt me, it still bugs me anyway. But I also know that a cat needs a bit longer claw in order to climb up things as he plays. So I am confused.

My cat is 15. About 5 years ago my vet determined that he's allergic to cat food (he was licking all the fur off his belly-poor thing). The only food he tolerates is MediCal Hypoallergenic. I always have crunchies available for him and twice a day he gets about a tablespoon of the canned food.
Lately I have noticed that he doesn't chew his crunchies, so I wonder if it's a dental issue, but I would like to give him something softer. What should I do?

I have a cat that has had two abscesses. The first on his chest required surgery and tubes to help drain. The second was earlier this year and the vet just had me apply creams and disinfect area. Now, he has the "bump" that we now know means he is about to have yet another incident. From what I have gathered its not a life or death thing but its very disturbing to see. The cat literally has a hole in it. Is there any way to prevent this current abscess from becoming what the others did? Second part: he is and indoor/outdoor kitty that is huge and thinks he needs to tangle with anything that comes on his land including racoons and dogs so he tends to get scratches and bites often which I think is what leads to the abscess right? If not, is there a way to prevent them? Thanks!

The ring is right around pupil and gets larger as the pupil dilates. Its really pretty and I have never seen this before. I researched and discovered its called Heterochromia. My question is whether this is really what she has or if her eyes are still changing. I thought final eye color was established by this age. Thanks for any answers you have!

If you just sieve out the solid cat poo and flush it down the loo, it is a problem? I use lightweight litter so there is some gravel stuck to it. Also, when she uses the litter, she sometimes spills some gravel outside. What is the best litter tray design to avoid this?
