I just got a 8 week old kitten 2 days ago. He was the sweetest kitten ever. Then when I took him home and he setteled in, he started scratching like crazy!! I got him a scratching post, but he doesn't use it. I know he's just playing but he really hirts. And when he jumps on my bed, he uses his nails to climb up. I'm scared he is going to mess up items in the house, or even worse, hirt my 2 year old son and 1 year old daughter.

My three year old male cat started having loose stools about three days ago. Now he goes about every two hours and it's just liquid. He is still very active and curious. Eats when I feed him and drinks water as normal. I'm very concerned about him though because I don't know what it could be. I haven't changed his food, I do not think he got into any trash, human food, etc., and he's not around ANY other cats to where he could have contracted a parasite or virus... ANY help is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much in advance.

I have taken him to two vets. He has been on antibiotics and wormed. He has had a humidifier. He is now starting to drop weight and is anemic. After my last visit to the vet and 100's later, I found some evedence of fleas. I put flea med on him and he had a vitamin b shot. My other cat is fine.
I am at my wits end and can not get him better and the vets do not seem to know. They say his lungs are clear? The wheezing never goes away so he is not getting any relief. Even so, he is eating and drinking normally and no problems with bowels. Someone please help!

Help!!
Just returned from Mexico last week. Last week of November 2006, came upon a kitten less then two weeks old. A truly bonding experience, what with bottle feeding, stimulation, potty training, ect. She's truly a sweetheart.
Neeners has rarely been out of our sight 24/7 since, but has been in other's company a few times. We are now in BC.
Neeners nipples are HUGE. I have yet to take her to the local vet (though she did get all shots required while in Mexico.)
She's very tiny still and I am a little concerned that she may be preggers...I know NOTHING ABOUT THIS... Anyone know about extremely swollen nipples in a 5-6 month old? Could she be pregnant?
Thanks in advance for any advice,
mam23......xoxo

scares me:
I got a kitten yesterday and she has hardly eaten or drank anything. I have tried to give her canned food, hard food, and kitten formula.
She did drink some formula but only by licking it off my finger and she had about 6 pieces of hard kitten food.

scares me more:
Also, she hasn't gone to the bathroom at all in over 24 hours. I'm afraid she will get constipated and I don't know how to prevent it.

I used to have a cat that would eat at least one mouse or other small animal a day, but this one is lazy she just sleeps. Can I teach her to hunt?

About 5 days ago something attacked my kitten, we checked it over and it only had 2 tiny blood spots, which i assumed where bite marks, so i watched it and within a couple hours of morning, it was running around with the other kittens like nothing had happened, i cleaned her wounds and i assumed everything was alright. I got home today and she was just laying there so i went and picked her up and stood her up but she just fell, she wasn't crying much and so i walked a ways away so she'd follow like normal and she just sat there so i picked her up and set her by her food and she got up to walk and instantly fell and it looks like one of her front paws could possibly be broken it was like bend underneath her so i took her inside and tryed getting her to walk around a bit more and she just kept falling and now it seems that it's both paws doing it, like she cant walk on either of them, and when she trys to get up, it's like she has not balance, but she doesnt seem to be in any pain. idk?

My 10 month old cat has a lump on his neck. It moves around easily and is the size of a nickel. We cant tell if its his lymph node or something else. I took him to the vet but they want me to come back later this week to put him under and draw cells from the lump. Has anyone every experienced this? I am worried sick about him.

For the past 3 days he's been throwing up and having bad diarrhea, but is otherwise okay. He isn't lazy or visibly hurting or anything else. The weather recently changed here from fairly cold to hot, could that have cause his illness? Could it be serious? We really don't have the money to take him to the vet...

I have worked for months to clean the wall, carpet & floorboards where my cat was peeing only to find out today that there are three other places in the living room that are totally DRENCHED in cat urine (I thought the smell was coming from the other place). She is very aggressive & tolerates 4 people. I had to have her declawed on all 4 paws because she was so mean. She appears to love me, sleeps with me at night, cuddles with me at the computer and at the TV. Every now and then she attacks me for no reason, but doesn't do much harm. The point of this is that there is no one I can give her to & the SPCA will put her to sleep because her aggressiveness makes her unadoptable. Is it wrong to put her to sleep? I just can't let her ruin my whole house. This has begun in recent months, she is healthy, has the same litter she always had & consistently uses her litter box & I change her box every other day. I just don't know what else to do, it breaks my heart...

I'm not home often enough to consistently monitor my cats' feeding habits and one cat is very thin while another is very not. I would put out less food, but am afraid my thin kitty would wither away.

We have a cat who is almost 15. He is losing weight (1/2 a pound in the last three weeks) and refusing to eat. We have tried cat milk, canned food, and straight tuna, but he doesn't want anything. He has been tested for thyroid problems, diabetes, and kidney problems. Everything came back fine. He stays strictly indoors. The only thing I could think of was that maybe he is just going through the dying process.

Any thoughts? Please tell me how you came up with your answer. Thank you.

she runs around the house like a crazy psychotic animal at breakneck speed, breaking things, knocking things off of tables ect. then she lays there panting and all out of breath. once she catches it she is up to no good again. i think she is mentally not all there. my other cat even looks at her like she is crazy. she has always been like this. needless to say my house is now childproof. i feel like i own a greyhound or something.
