My friend thinks his cat is dying. He says it's losing hair all over, looks "uglier", and throws up more often. Those are the only symptoms that he really knows.. He says his cat eats a lot, and that his cat is fat. But those probably don't have any relation..

Does anyone have the slightest idea what could be wrong with his cat? Don't just say "take him to the vet", because he won't.. I already tried that. Anything will help!

My indoor cat is very territorial and I'm thinking about bringing home an new kitten, but I am afraid that they may fight?
What do I do if they do?

Also, what is the best age(months) the kitten should be?
My cats 1 year old and 1 month old?(I think, I don't know his exact b-day)

I'm pretty positive that my cat would try to hurt the new kitten, because I brought him out for an walk on an leash beofre in our frontyard. And there was an old cat sleeping in the bush(didn't know there was). And all of an sudden he started growling and hissing, his tail kept on moving. Then he ran in and tried to scratch the poor cat, but luckily I stopped him.

Also, does anyone know what I should do at first when I bring the new kitten home?

My two female kittens keep urinating on our beds. I wash the linen with lemon disinfectant and laundry powder but they continue to go back. I keep the tray clean but they will sneak into these rooms if we leave doors open- which is hard to control. I also found them using used towels in the bathroom today. My 11yr old cat won't use the tray so he goes outside now, but I can't let the girls out as they are only 14 weeks and we work. We woke up this morning with a nasty wet patch in between us and my husband rubbed both their noses in it. The repellent spray forn the petshop isn't working obviously.
Help Me Please!

He ran oustside, got spooked and kept on running. My cat is afraid of people and I am in fear that she is in a hidding-place and will not move. I have checked the nerghborhood every night for him......but no luck. I have posted flyiers around the neighborhood and also visit the Animal Shelters twice a week. I am also leaving sents from me and my cat outside the door, in hopes he will be able to smell it. Now I am beginning to worry. Are thre any stories of cats dissapearing but then comes back home weeks later?

Thanks for anybodies advice.

My 13 yr old cat has been ill for the last few months she had surgery to remove a mammory tumor in October. She healed fine and was back to her normal self. In the last 2 months the tumors have returned but she was still ok and acting normal. In the past 2 weeks she hasn't been eating and she hides from the family and rather not be touched. I noticed an infected looking sore on her lip and took her to the vet. blood test were done and all come back fine. she was given a antibiotic injection just in case the sore was infected and it had spreaded throughout her body. The next day she started vomiting. as the hours passed she couldn't walk or stand. She just lay there immobilized. I don't want to put her to sleep because I think that is cruel plus I wouldnt be able to go through with it. I will feel like I am killing her. I rather she die at home comfortably around family. I am unsure of cats behavior when they are preparing to die can someone help me?

Hi, i got a cat form a Rescue Centre about 3 months ago. They said she was 6 months old, but i think she may be older. The day we got her i was overwelmed on how quickly she settled in. She would come up and sit on your knee, well anyones knee who came in and sat down for ages, she was really sociable. She has been neutered and only goes in the garden when we are there. Over the last three to four weeks she has stopped doing this and won't even come up for a cuddle when called. Nothing in our routine has changed. Im quite upset over this and don't knw what to do. Any advice would be great. Has anyone else experienced this. Oh yeah she has also started to bite when you stroke her!!!

My cat is only about 13 months old, he's a Maine Coon, and he brings home pieces of wood charcoal. We aren't certain he is eating it since we just see him bring it to the door and he has black on his teeth and lips like an oreo. He doesn't hunt very well, only finds little critters and watches them or follows them around. (he's kind of dumb) Any ideas?

Wanted to know some signs that labor is starting - besides the obvious ones that I've already read about online such as nesting, stop eating, licking herself - I'm looking for some original answers please. For instance pooping...? I've heard that the cat might do this a lot - trying to 'clean her system' before giving birth. My cat is about to have kitties and I've never done this alone before

*She is my mothers cat who ran away 5 months ago and came back 3 days ago very very pregnant and my mom's b/f's American Bulldog will kill the poor thing if he sees it so I'm being nice and providing a nice safe place for her to have her kitties so please NO COMMENTS ABOUT SPAYING - SHE WILL BE SPAID ONCE HER KITTIES ARE READY

**This isn't her first litter so she's a little experienced with kitties.

Thanks!!

My cat is ready to pop any minute now!! but I want to know a couple things to look for that indicates labor - besides nesting. In particular pooping?? I've heard they do A LOT of this prior to giving birth but not sure if it's true (Gabbie has been doing this) I've had litters of kittens before when I was young but I've never done this on my own. This is my mom's cat who ran away about 5 months ago and returned very very pregnant. I have taken her under because my mom's new b/f's dog will kill it if he saw it. Any information will be appreciated!

*and yes thanks for the spay concern no need to mention it she will be spayed after her kitties are ready.

** This is not her first litter

Ever since my cat was a kitten she never liked drinking milk or water from a bowl, she preferred drinking from puddles etc. She never looked for any drinks now in the last couple of weeks she has started pushing the top from the fish bowl and drinking from this (I have observed her without her seeing me and i am sure that she is not trying to get the fish). Also if there is a cup in the sink with water in it she will drink from it and is also looking for water. Does this sound like a kidney problem or something cause i know that cats really suffer from these problems. She is only 4 years old. Just looking for some answers before i take her on her much hated journey to the vet

Cats kill and do not devour their food? Why do they kill mice, frogs, birds etc then Does this mean that cats are cruel animals?

Hi All!

My cat has diarrhea, I woke up this morning to find it on my rug and all over her rear end. This is the first day I've seen it, so it hasn't been going on for a long time. Are there any home remedies I can try? I am guessing she is a bit dehydrated, am I able to give her Pedialyte? Maybe cook her a boneless skinless chicken breast instead of giving her the regular wet/dry cat food? If the diarrhea persists, I am going to take her to the vet no later than Wednesday, but I want to see if there is anything I can do to help her from home first.

In the past she has had anal gland problems---they don't express on their own, so the vet would have to do it for her. Normally if the diarrhea lasts more than 2 days and she is extremely sensitive around her rear end, it is the glands and I take her to have them expressed. She doesn't seem to be having the same symptoms as-of-yet ie: the tenderness/sensitivity.

Any suggestions to try at home? Thanks for your help!!

I brought him home
He's crying for his mommy, anyway to comfort him?

I don't want to take him back in case there isn't a mommy I don't want him to get hurt or anything.
