It sits like any normal cat, except it stands on its tail with its front paws. I'm kinda confused as to why. Does anyone have an idea why she would do this?

I have a sandbox and my cat keeps using it as a litter box. I don't want to have to cover it everyday. Any suggestions?

My cat wakes me up in the morning by biting my nose (sometimes quite hard!) I've had cats all my life and never known one to do this. Does anyone else have a cat that does this - or even know why?

I was just bitten by my 7 wk old kitten. She was just playingbut I quickly took my arm away, but she held on. She didt draw blood but did leave marks. I quickly washed with antibacterial wash and the put anitbacterial gel and then did it all over again, just to wash it and make sure. Now, I have a heart condition so I worry about getting infections. Do i need to see a doctor eventhough she didnt draw blood? She bit me about 30 min ago and its red but not really raised above the skin. Any ideas?

My cat, the love of my life, is not doing well and I have to make the horrible decision of whether to put her down or not.

She’s old. Her age is unknown (adopted 2 yrs ago) but it’s estimated to be around 14. She has kidney failure and has been receiving treatment for about 9 months. The kidneys are really bad and the treatment has not “fixed” it but it has been effective in the sense that kidneys have been stable.

Problem: about two weeks ago, her right eye started getting bloody. The doctors said it’s due to high blood pressure. After all the treatments, the eye got worse and now my poor baby has developed glaucoma. The blood pressure came down a little but it’s still high.

Decision

Option 1: Removing the eye: given her physical condition, her chances of surviving the surgery/recovery are 50/50 %.
Her vet said she may have about six months to live after the surgery.
Option 2: Putting her to sleep.

I cant decide. Please help, SOON.

is it possible to keep 2 male cats ? as I already have a cat and the last 2 days a friendly stray has decided to make home out the front of our house. And I dont want to send him to the pound. because he is such a lovely cat and ive asked my neigbours if he belongs to any of them but no he doesnt. And no one has seen him around before. He's actaully taken a liking to me and my partner , but my other cat seems very jealous. Is it possible that I could keep them both? And would they eventually get along together?

I tried this question once but left out needed info. So let me try once more please. I got a kitten. Mother was full blooded Siamese, Father (?) All the liter of kittens turned out to look siamese. (markings, blue eyes, beautiful). Was wondering if kitten will have the Siamese persona since it seemed to took so much after the mother which was siamese? She looks like a siamese with just a tid bit of something. Thank you , God bless.....

Ok...My family lives in the country and cats have taken over the barn. Every time a litter of kittens is born, at around 6 weeks old they start to get a oozing eye cold. The vet gave my parents penicillin (sp?) to give them small shots, but did not give them an explanation for the problem.

So....does anyone know what may be causing this? Recently, the vet I take my pets to said it could be caused by ear mites so we are treating the little kitty we brought home for that. I'm still very interested in other ideas though so that maybe we can stop this cycle. Thanks

Thank you for your previous answers. Got updates on my kitty. He is 17 1/2 yrs. I brought him to the vet because he was kind of out of it with dilated eye. Since that day, he has been having cluster seizures. I spoke my concerns with the vet and she said there is not much we can do at his age. I feel so wrong. He seems so happy. His seizures are quiet, he falls down and muscles are stiff. He has some out of the blue and most of them it is because I pet him and he becomes really happy or if I enter the room same thing, seems as he gets happy. I feel sad to fake ignoring him. What should I do? Isn't there any thing I can do? He seems to happy for us to decide that it is over ... He is my baby (first cat) had him for 17 yrs

Thank you

We got this 1 year old calico cat about 2 months ago. She came as a kid friendly cat. My 1.5 year old toddler thinks of her as a toy and tries to pull her tail, squeeze her tummy etc.,
she doesnt run away but lies down and lets my son to torment her (i always try to stop him) but every now and then she would scratch him or bite him. It happens so suddenly that i cant stop them on time. I have been trying to train the cat to run away from my toddler (like with the a water spray) but she never runs away from him and keeps biting him and scratching him. I have been in so much emotional turmoil over this. my mother instinct tells me to get rid of the cat but my husband wouldnt hear of it.
Please advise; what would be the right thing to do?

Is it after she stops nursing or producing milk or is there a specific time frame. I know that wild lions will kill the opposing prides cubs to send the females back into estrice. My cat still has two kittens that are 9 weeks old and is still nursing them occasionally.

I don't think we're allowed to have pets in my apartment complex, but this cat needs a home, & I feel bad for it. & it's obviously been abused by other cats because part of the tail is bitten off. She looks like she's fully grown. Should I feed her? If so, what? I don't have any cat food.

I DESPERATELY want a kitty b/c I lost the one I had during Hurricane Katrina. I know I shouldn't take stray cats into my ownership, since I don't know its history.

What should I do about this kitty? Report it to the animal shelter?

My Cat is 14 years old and her head twitches from time to time daily. When i brush her she really seems itchy on her left side of her from her chin to her ear and eye. When i scratch her right side she doesn't seem to care as much. she will even stop and meow and then go around in a circle then scratches her ears. She purrs while im scratching it for her but she looks like she is uncomfortable. I brought her the vet a few times. I have gotten her blood tests, skins test and even a ear mite test and thats not the problem. Also since December, she has lost 2 pounds!!! Is there anyone out there that might know what the problem is? I am really worried about her and nothing the vets are doing is solving this. Do i take her to a specialists? PLEASE HELP!!!

We spend a lot of time outside with the dogs, so we're sure that's how they got in. We just applied Frontline as soon as we saw the fleas. We are giving all of the animals a bath today also. After one of our cats baths, we looked her over and she still had fleas on her! We used soap too.
My sister said she saw one in the living room.
My mom is FREAKING! I'm afraid she'll say we have to get rid of the animals. I doubt it but it's a possibility.
What can we do!

I am feeding some abandoned kittens with a bottle. Two of them have already started eating canned kitten food, but a little bit. They want some more milk afterwards. How long from now do they need until they are fully weaned? And until they start eating dry food for kittens?
