she was our favourite and it has broken our hearts. we cant eat, sleep and are so sad all of the time. we got two kittens after it happened, not to try and replace her but to take our mind off her and try to take some positives. we certainly dont regret getting them but are finding it so so hard getting over our original, any ideas on what we could do?

thanks

I have 5 cats at the moment. 1 is an out side cat the rest stay inside (due to their ages). The out side cat has gone and got fleas and given them to the rest of the cats! I have put spot on stuff on the older cats and flea collars on the younger 3, but it doesnt seem to be working.

any ideas on what to try next??

I live in an apartment and a few months ago someone new moved into the building at first I saw 1 or 2 roaches now I see like 4 or more a day. I keep my apartment clean but some how they get in. I have a cat and I was wondering what can I buy that will kill the roaches and/or keep them out of my apartment but will not harm my cat in any way? Any advice is greatly appreciated, thank you all in advance.

She doesn't seem to even be stressed. Wants to eat and drink water like nothing is wrong. It looks like an opposum tail. Other than taking her to the vet in the AM what can I do here at home to help?

Someone gave me a kitten on a short notice because they didn't want to leave it in the street so I took it in. I can't go out and get any food for it and I know it's hungry because it's nibbling things. So I was just wondering what kinds of everyday foods it can eat so I can at least settle it's stomach for a while.

This has happened with every cat I've ever owned and I've always wondered why! My cats eyes get really big and black and dialated, her tails getts puffy and she starts running around the house either like she's chasing something, or like something is chasing her but there's nothing there! It's like she sees a ghost or something! What is that all about and why do cats do it???

Today I went back to my apartment on my lunch break and saw this older orange kitten come tearing out of an apartment like the devil himself was on his tail. I snagged him, only to find out, much to my disgust, that this poor cat was slicked down with something. The owner comes out, to get her cat, and when I asked what was all over the cat, she told me that she had slicked her cat down with vasiline because it gets rid of fleas.

I have never heard of this, and quite frankly, that sounds a little hinky.

Has anyone else heard of this?

I ran out of dry food a couple weeks ago and only had wet food to give my cat. He now only will eat the wet food. I leave dry food out in two spots and he has not touched them in over a week. I want him to stop eating the wet food becuse its expensive, smells bad and i have to feed him 3 times a day.

They stay in separate rooms and don't even eat the same food or from the same plates.
He seems more obsessed with covering his food than eating it. Just wondered if anybody has seen a cat do this and why? I guess he is trying to hide it from them.

We have a close to a year old cat, and are moving into our first home out of an apartment.

I've been looking at local animal rescue sites, and we're also thinking of adopting another cat, similar age.

Too much stress at one time on our current furbaby?
I don't want to overload her with too many new things at once.

Shes been not eating and barely taking in any water. We thought it was her teeth so switched her to soft, wet food which she likes too and once or twice she has eaten and takes water but most days we try and try and will not eat. I know shes old and it may be time to put her down but my mom wants all the time she can have with her. Is there anything else other then going to a vet that we can try. taking her out of the house to go to the vet will probably be the last step but dont really want to have to do that if I dont have to.

Thanks so much

My 7-month old kitten just got her first vaccinations today. She got a vaccine for ravies, feline panluekopenia, feline rhinotracheitis, feline calicivirus, feline pneumonitis, and feline leukemia. Once I brought her back from the vet, she seemed very tired and went to sleep. She's been sleeping since noontime, so its been 8 hours so far!!
Is this normal? Will she be okay? Could she be having some sort of allergic reaction??

Is it usual for a male to attack a female cat? My neighbours cat who was here first is making my cat 's life a misery. He hides and waits for her and attacks her at any opportunity. He has given her a couple of nasty bites in the past. He left her with a big bald spot one time due to pulling her fur out from the roots. If I see him I chase him away but wondered if anybody had any ideas. He is neurtered but seems to like bullying my cat.

The first time he did it was because his litter box was dirty, but now I think he keeps doing it because maybe the scent is still there somehow - How can I get rid of scent and stop this cat from peeing on her bed? It's driving me crazy! THANKS...

We have a grey/white female cat that produced four kittens, two tabbies, one black with white, and one beige with white. Can they all be from the same father?
