The package should tell you how often to put it in. I believe that would be once a month is what I believe it would be. It is usually once a month or once every two months.

Depends on what medicine you're using. I hope it's from a vets because store-bought stuff is rubbish and sometimes dangerous.

Kittens should be wormed at 2,4,8 and 12 weeks of age, then montly until 6 months old and every 3 months thereafter - using a product from a vets, like Panacur. The first two or three treatments are sometimes given over a 3 day perid again, depending on the product you have.

Any wormer you've got should have full instructions on it - if you're not sure about anything, give a vet a call.

Hey...Make sure to use prescription-only dewormer. Sure, it's more expensive, but the over-the-counter stuff you can buy at Walmart is not good for them and never rids all of the worms. A great allwormer to use is "Drontal". It's desgined to kill and prevent whipworms, roundworms and tapeworms. It comes in tablet form. It's about $5-$10 per tablet and most kittens need only 1/2 tablet. You can get it from your local vet's office. Treat the kitten now and then again in about 2 weeks. You can crush it into wet food, but it's best to be given on an empty stomach. You can place the tablet on the very back of the tongue and allow the kitten to swallow naturally. Rub his throat and it should go down.

The other option is "Revolution". It's a topical treatment that kills/prevents earmites and fleas as well as the rest of the worms. It is available only by prescritpion. It's about $10-$15 per dose. Do one dose now and another in about 4 weeks. "Drontal" can be used in kittens as young as four weeks old as long as they do not weigh less than 2 pounds. "Revolution" should not be used on kittens less than 8 weeks old.

Follow the directions on the medicine packaging. Some types of wormer say you can use them as often as once a week and others say once a month or even less often. If you read the directions and are still unsure, call a local vet. They will gladly answer a question like that over the phone.

That all depends on the medicine. If the veterinarian deworms the kitten, its usually once per month.

It should tell you that on the package. If it does not call your vet, even the people in the office should know if you can't speak directly to the vet.
