At 4 weeks they should be old enough to lap milk, so the ones that aren't weaned can drink from a bowl. Just make sure you use a pet formula and not regular milk, place it in a saucer/bowl and let them drink. Regular milk contains too much lactose for them. Give them milk 2 - 3 times a day, what they will finish in 10 minutes or so.
Also at 6 weeks the should be eating something. A little softened dry kitten food or canned kitten food should be ok. Most kittens are ready to leave the mother at 6 - 8 weeks anyway, so they are not that far off.
Don't forget to make sure that they have clean water too.

They will ween themselves. Offer a tiny bowl with very soupy food in it and leave it available for continuous feeding. This is messy, of course: kittens crawl into their food, put their feet in it, etc., and woupy, wet wee kitten food must be refreshed completely at least once a day, as it will sour. But the first to ween themselves will set an example, and the laggards will follow.

You can feed KMR as a formula, if that is what you are doing. But I really do recommend that in the kitten bowl you put a homemade formula. This really works, and kittens just thrive on it: To one cup of Lactase 2%, lactose-reduced milk, add 1 large or 2 medium raw egg yolks (no raw egg whites as kittens cannot digest this), a tablespoon of Gerber's Rice Cereal for babies; about 1/2 of a human multivitamin, well dissolved; a tablespoon of wet kitten food, or dry kitten food soaked and softened in water. Put this all in the blender and buzz it until it is homogeneous and smooth. Then put it in a fingertip bowl for continuous feeding. Grab 1 or 2 of the kittens who are eating, and set them by it at feeding time or when they are hungry. Other kittens will follow suit.

At this point, your dominants will self-feed, and eventually, your little hesitant sweetie-pies will follow suit.

Good luck.

At six weeks old kittens are old enough to be seperated from momma cat. They should lap milk from a bowl and be able to eat canned food or softened dry food. Start looking for homes or contact the animal shelter where you live unless you plan on keeping all of them.

my cat Isis had babies 4 weeks ago and she decided she didnt want to feed them anymore last week. Vet told me to buy little cans of cat mom milk from grocery store or petsmart or somewhere and to mix a little of that into a premium kitten chow I use purina kitten food, just mix the two so the hard food is soft and not crunchy, dont soak it though kittnes didnt seem to like that, i give a handful of dry and about three or four tablespoons of the milk to them in the food three times a day. after acouple more weeks will switch them to dry food with a little wet cat food and a tiny bit of milk. thankfully mom still is cleaning them but im trying to get them into the litter box ASAP. DONT USE CLAY LITTER WITH KITTENS! They can and DO ingest it and it can and WILL block their intestines and can cause death. Good luck!

For the time being, make sure they eat, either with your help from a bottle, with special kitten milk, either with soft canned food, perhaps mixed with some milk. At 6 weeks they will soon manage to start eating. By the way, if they are not peeing by themselves, you must rub their bum softly with a cotton to stimulate peeing.
