Until you can get kitten food (dont forget to get the best quality dry food you can afford, it is better for their teeth and gums, and give it some kitten wet food - loaf style is best) you can give it::
- chicken (minced or cut into small pieces) - either raw or cooked
- minced lean beef - raw or cooked
When I cook up raw meat for the kittens I put it in the microwave with some water and lightly cook it. The water makes a nice broth and the warm food makes it more palatable for the kitten. Just make sure it has cooled to "blood temperature"
DO NOT give it any milk or cream, cats are lactose intolerant and it can make them very sick. Eggs are also too rich for it at this stage.

everybody has those little tins of tuna! perfect, or maybe little tin of salmon. make sure to drain as much oil out as you can though. maybe some beef or ham perhaps? do NOT give the cat human milk, very bad, water will suffice until you can get to a store. if its a young kitten you must buy proper food or it wont grow up to be big and strong, it needs proper kitten food and proper kitten milk.

Some boiled chicken or some boiled fish - careful, no bones. Or some meat if you have in general, but just make sure it's not spiced, and especially no garlic and onion should be in it. Teh may also eat yoghurt or cream cheese, but milk may cause diarrhea. Is it old enough to eat? If not, try lukewarm milk after you boil it well, and add some sugar in it.

DO NOT give it milk (that you buy at the grocery). It can contain germs that will actually mess with the kitten's digestive system and mess it up, causing you expensive vet bills. The best thing is to get kitten food ASAP. No kitten should have people food.

If you do give milk, use non fat dehydrated, reconstituted OR evaporated milk reconstituted according to the can's instructions. If it is really tiny, it needs the milk products. If it is older the boiled chicken, bread soaked in chicken or beef broth are great. Even hamburger meat would work.

Tuna is you have it, or tiny bites of ham or turkey lunch meat. If you plan on keeping it, you need to get to the store soon and buy not only food, but a littler pan and litter. It will soon need to to the the bathroom and will be using your carpet.

Boiled egg yolks mixed with yogurt is good and boiled chicken is also good. You can even cook up some veggies and mash them a bit.

Meat is fine, it's an obligate carnivore so most of it's diet should be meat. Depending on it's age it may need formula instead of adult cat meat.
