I've heard that there's a new less-invasive way to spay cats via laser surgery. Has anyone done this and have more information on it? Any vet recommendations, prices, pros/cons?

My one year old cat Mauli has been acting sickly lately (about 2 days.) Her voice is kind of raspy and she seems to be having a difficult time swallowing. Mauli is an inside cat only.
I did get a kitten about a month ago who is now roughly 2.5 months old, but she doesn't seem ill at all.
Is there any possible explanation for this that does NOT involve me taking her to the vet? Are these symptoms of something serious?

My cat has been having diarrhea for a few days and this afternoon he went in my closet instead of his cat box, and when I was cleaning it up I noticed that there was some blood in it.
So what could be the cause of the blood in his stools?
He has an appointment with the Vet tomorrow
Since I brought him home almost a year ago he has had this on and off.
but I just want to know what could make him have blood in his stools!
What kind of tests should I ask the Vet to do and about how much do they cost?

I'll answer this myself later....
But what about you?
-are you often screaming and clawing to get out from under your needy and loving animal(s)?

-do you get plenty but not too much attention from your feline?

-does the amount of affection equal the amount of food given?

-do you feel like you're often sucking up to your kitty just to get it to rub against your leg?

-does "lovey-dovey" and "cat" sound like they don't belong in the same sentence?

-or does your cat act like it might get a disease from you and would only approach with small kitty gloves, and definitely only to make sure you weren't dead?

I'm not stupid, so if your anwer is "take her to a vet" don't bother answering, I know that I can do that. Without spending money on a vet, I'd like to know if anyone has an idea why my cat would have a few spots on her by her tummy that are thinning hair that have been there several months and seem to slowly get larger. She doesn't itch them at all and there don't seem to be any bugs or scabs. She is flea free (I use revolution). The spots aren't where the revolution is adminstered, so I boubt that would be the problem. She doesn't smell, seems to be fine as far as health. No idea what it could be.

I have 16 stray/feral cats living in my backyard. They mated a while ago; the kittens are adorable. Yesterday my dad annouced that we either have to (gulp) kill them or catch them and give them to a pound...who will then kill them. I need an alternative (besides keeping them) that will save these cats' lives! Please hurry, I really am on a timed schedule.

There is this cat in my condo complex that just sits by peoples doors wanting to get in. However, no one in our complex owns it. I think some lady that moved out use to feed some neighborhood cats. It's friendly, and it's sad to see him around. Should I take him to the SPCA? Or, will they kill it if not adopted? Please help.

We came home and my cat had a big patch of bald skin where she had torn out her fur around a little hole. We thought she'd been shot with a pellet gun, but then my sister tried to get it out with tweezers and saw a bug in there! She thinks she squished it with the tweezers, but i want to know what it was!

My cat woke me up one night chasing a mouse around the bedroom. I would sit on my bed and watch the mouse as it ran under stuff that was sitting on the floor... I'd pick it up, exposing the mouse, and the cat would run after it.

Then it would sit on the mouse for a while and let it go. I would chase it down and lift up whatever it was hiding under. My cat would then get it and repeat the process.

So, have you ever gone mouse-hunting with your cat?

Over 2 months ago a cat had kittens in our yard. Is a common space so one neighbor chased them out another took them in and between her and I we have been taking care of them, gave them a secure place to hide in bad weather and plenty of attention food and water. Suddenly I see her only with one kitten. We want to have her fixed but I am afraid to take her away from the kitten because she has been an excellent mother and is always with him. Will the kitten be OK if we take mom for a couple of days? will he feel abandoned?

I have read several articles about how good fish oil is good for cats and the health of their coats.
Before I try fad supplements, I like hearing from others the benefits and drawbacks from using the product.
So, has any one else tried fish oil for their cat? What happened? Good? Bad? Anything?

His feces always seems very mushy and light brown and has the worst smell that stinks up the whole apartment. What can I feed him that will make his feces a normal hard substance and not so overbearing? I'm feeding him Purina indoor formula right now. I only give him dry food. Please help with any ideas.

So... last night my boyfriend brought me home a kitten as a surprise. I met him at around 10:30 last night and since meeting this little guy he has managed to find a hole in the wall of our apartment that is behind the oven and he is gone in there. He was in there last night and my boyfriend got him out. Again today he is in the hole but this time he is farther in where I cant even see him. I am 9 months pregnant and cant really menuever to grab him. Plus the oven only pushes out soo far. He doesnt know me well enough to just trust me and come out of the hole. Any ways you can think of to lure him out before I go insane? He has been in there since 9 am and it is not 11:30. I dont know what to do.!!!

My 10-11 week old kitten is throwing up on schedule about everyother day. It's like mush- as if her food hasn't digested and no hair in it. Afterwards, she continues playing, drinking, having fun. She tends to do this a few hours after eating. Potty habits are fine.We though that she was eating too much too fast and have paced her, but it continues. The vet can't find anythin wrong with her- all the tests and x-rays show nothing. They originally had me give her reglan. but don't want her on that forever. She has always eaten Hills science diet dry food for kittens. does she just have a super sensitive tummy? or what? any ideas?

Me and my husband are thinking of getting a puppy this year, but we are wondering if our two adult cats will be able to share their territory with the new puppy. It will be a pity to get the puppy and realize that our house has become a war zone for good! Any advise on how to introduce the puppy to the cats?

i have 2 male cats, both roughly the same age. Nimbus is declawed, while Moe isn't. I raised Nimbus since he was only a few months old, I adopted Moe this year. Both cats are neutered.

One day Moe was sitting on the window sill and there was a cat outside that I presume was female. They started growling and yowling at each other. And then Moe tried to pounce on her, but he hit the window instead.

anyways after he hit the window. he started going crazy. he ran after Nimbus and attacked him. Moe was darting all across the room, chasing Nimbus trying to attack him, as if he was trying to kill him. When he stopped chasing Nimbus, he then attacked me scratching up my entire arm.

When he calmed down. i put him in his traveling cage as a 'time out' this has got me mad and upset, that my cat attacked me. i'm thinking about giving him away.

This is the second time this has happened. First time he injured Nimbus pretty badly. Why did Moe do all of this?
