So... last night my boyfriend brought me home a kitten as a surprise. I met him at around 10:30 last night and since meeting this little guy he has managed to find a hole in the wall of our apartment that is behind the oven and he is gone in there. He was in there last night and my boyfriend got him out. Again today he is in the hole but this time he is farther in where I cant even see him. I am 9 months pregnant and cant really menuever to grab him. Plus the oven only pushes out soo far. He doesnt know me well enough to just trust me and come out of the hole. Any ways you can think of to lure him out before I go insane? He has been in there since 9 am and it is not 11:30. I dont know what to do.!!!

Have your boyfriend pick up some canned cat food and some cat treats. Shake the cat treats much like you would do for a dog and place the canned cat food in a bowl near the place where your cat is. Hopefully he will just climb right out. If not, he may be stuck. When he does get out, the hole should be fixed to keep this from happening again and to keep anything that may get in the wall from coming out into your kitchen. I'd say your boyfriend wasn't thinking on this one. Like you aren't getting ready to have enough to contend with already!!!! LOL!!!!

Aww you got a "scaredy kitten"
What He is doing what is pretty much instinctual , he's hiding because he is not sure of the new environment. And not sure where "mom" is.
Try to keep it quite in he house until he comes out, loud music or noise will keep him in there. If you have young children, they have to be quite and very very gentle with him.
How old is he? If he was to young to be taken from his momma he may be "hiding" until she comes to get him:(
which isn't going to happen, unless you know the owner of the momma.
If you do you need to borrow her for awhile and she will call him out ( no Joke)

If you can't do that , then talk sweetly to him( the tone of your voice is the most important not ness. what you say:) and make soft meowing noises near the hole - it may take awhile...but the kitten should come out.
If all else fails, you may need to cut a hole in the dry wall to get him out and then cover the hole so he can't get back in.
Or your boyfriend will have to get him out if he can reach him.

Once he is out , he really needs help to feel safe!
He needs to explore the house slowly, start him out for the first few days in a bedroom, with a box or hiddy hole he can run to when he gets scared. Slowly let him feel comfortable with you- he needs "Lovey Dovey therapy"

Remember, He will probably come out when he is hungry, at night. so leave a can of food where he can find it near the oven.

Good Luck and have some compassion for the little guy this is all new to him - "life"in general, no momma, you, yur boyfriend and everything in your apartment.

TUNA! That worked for all my cats. They love the stuff, and by now your kitten is hungry.

If he hasn't come out by the time your boyfriend gets home, he'll need to rescue. Kittens can and do get into places they can't back out of. Meanwhile, this may seem obvious, but don't use your oven!

You have a larger problem, though, and that's how to keep kitten from going there again. If you can't block the hole he's using to get back there, you may need to keep kitty in a closed room until he's bigger and can't get into that hole. The downside to that is some cats don't get very big. Tonks, my little one, is only 7.8 lbs - about the size of a "teenaged" kitten, although she's 3 years old. I was hoping she'd get too big to wedge herself up inside my sofa, but no such luck.

Speaking of, be VERY aware where your kitten is if you have reclining furniture. Kittens love to get inside your furniture, and recliners have lots of neat hiding places. But they can get into the works and when you close the chair it can hurt or even kill them. Makers of reclining furniture are aware of this, but they seem unwilling to make changes to their design that would make it impossible for beloved family pets to get into the furniture.

Put a wet food can such as fancy feast by the hole. cats love that stuff and it will be lured out then when the kitten comes out seal the hole or block it so it can not go back

Call a neighbor you trust to come over and get the cat out. Then do something to block the hole so he won't go in there again.

Call your boyfriend and tell him what happened. Maybe he can get it out. Do you have any trustworthy neighbors? maybe they can come in and get him out.
