Please, contact your local spay and neuter organization. In my area of New Mexico it is called SNAP (Spay Neuter Awareness Progam). You could try www.alleycats.org to see if there is an organization in your area.
They will come out, humanely trap the kitties, spay or neuter them and bring them back. If your Dad is ok with you feeding them, they will stop breeding and you can control the colony until they pass from old age.
If is really, really good of you to try and help these kitties. You must be a really good person.

So NOW you're in a hurry. Why weren't you in a hurry to spay them when you had the luxury of time? What the heck have you been doing all this time? Just letting them breed??? Why didn't you catch them, one at a time (most humane societies will lend you a humane trap for free), and get them spayed or neutered, then release them back into the yard?
Your dad is tired of waiting for you to get off your butt. Now you have to deal with it whether you like it or not. Try to find a no-kill shelter. Most of them are already overwhelmed because of irresponsible people who let the animals breed, so you may not be able to get them in. And do NOT give them away in front of a grocery store. They almost never go to good homes, but either are sold as bait to be torn apart by fighting dogs, or are sold to labs for experimentation. The painful death in both those scenarios is too horrible for words. Compared to those two fates, a gentle euthansia by receiving an overdose of anesthesia is far preferable.

Go in to Google, enter "cat rescue groups" and your state or city or maybe "no-kill animal shelters" and your state or city, and see what comes up. I can tell you that in Brooklyn, NY, there is a citizen group that if you call them will come and trap all your cats and transport them to shelters and/or rescuers homes. You need to hook up with a group like this.
Also, call vet offices, as they sometimes provide haven to rescued animals, basic care and nourishment until a customer comes in and falls in love. Also call the local animal shelter. Ask if they know any rescuers. If your local shelter is not a no-kill shelter, ask them where the nearest no-kill shelter is, and call them. They may not be able to take your cats, but they may be able to hook you up with a resource or some resources that can help you out.
Good luck.

You know, there are other things that you may try before deciding on a more permanent solution. Try using feliway diffusers in the rooms where he stays. Those pheromones may help. How long is there going to be someone living upstairs? If it is not permanent, and is going to be changing soon, I would say to stick it out. I agree that it may be difficult to find him another home, with the concerns that you are describing. Also, if it is temporary, try getting a large kennel, where you can confine him with a litterbox. Then you can let him out sometimes, and see what happens. It may be that if you give him a "safe" place, he might feel less stressed out.

Shelter usually don't kill kittens, but call and ask first. At least in Cleve, Ohio, they don"t. They usually come out and pick them up, give them their shots, and adopt them out. Maybe Dad will let you keep one or two of them? Good luck

Look for a 'no kill' shelter or rescue program in your area. Call them and ask if they can lend you some humane traps to catch them.
Good luck!

OMG, don't let him kill the cats! what are they doing to you, they are in your yard, they just kill the mice! They will not bother you, they will go away to other yards etc. in 1-2 months. And neuter the cats, please. You could take the ones to a no-kill shelter or put ads to give them away. Put ads in a newspaper, the internet, flyers in the neighbourhood, or just ask some of the neighbours to let some in their yards, Plus, I doubt they will stay in your yard unless you feed them. If you had been feeding them and not neutering them, I am afraid this shows you wanted the kittens, so now you have to face the responsibility without killing the cats. Tell your dad that you will call animal control if he kills them. OMG, who would want to kill cute kitties, who can't bother him because they are in the yard!!
