God is great. He has made most of the animals self reliant and survive under hard ships. It is the human baby with well developed brain that needs lot of protection for a long time.
Also the feelings and sentiments seem to be less in other animals and so they forget easily their moms. and adjust with a new mom and sorroundings.
As long as you feed milk and latter solid food the kitten will survive.

She can start to eat some canned food now and you must get a good quality food. Try Natural Balance, Innova Evo, Solid Gold, Eagle Pack. Nothing from the grocery store! It is all crappy food with by-products and unnecessary fillers. Just feed her small amounts from you finger for a start. If you open a whole can you should transfer it to a glass dish (pyrex) immediately after opening. This can then last for the entire day. You don't have to refrigerate it if you use it up and the weather is cool. If you do refrigerate it you can warm it in a pan of hot water in the dish, just as you would a baby bottle. Cold meat can cause a kitten to throw up.

The kitten should be fine if he's physically healthy. My mom used to breed cats, and people got them when they were about 11 weeks. the kitten wont feel abandoned, but his mom will be sad and looking for the baby for a few days, so give her comfort and love.

Between 8-12 weeks it is safe to take the mother from kitten. As long as the kitten is eating hard or soft food.

no, it should not be a problem as long as you take care of the kitten when mom is out. but it is best to get the cat spayed. you are doing a great favour there for the cat. go ahead and do it. I am sure the kitten will get over it.

AS LONG AS YOU KEEP AN EYE ON HER AND MAKE SURE SHE HAS A WARM AND SAFE PLACE TO SLEEP; ANDNFOOD AND WATER SHE;LL BE LONELY BUT OK. I seen your other question about your mom taking the mom to get her fixed,, bless your mom and your hearts for helping the mom and her kitten; that is to kind, without your help the baby would be probably sick and maybe dead.Just see the kitten and talk to it so he or she knows that she still has a friend,,The kitty might be crying a lot as she won;t know what happened to mom. YES if you can get kitty get her inside as mom will be really weak and will not suppose to run or play as she;ll have stitches and real sore. when mom cat comes home she;ll be so glad to see her little angel as she;ll be worried to death,, good luck with your extended family and thanks again,.,.when you get near kitty o AND MAMA LET THEM SMELL YOUR HAND SO THEY GET TO KNOW YOU AND YOUR SMELL. THAT'S HOW THEY CAN TELL WHO YOU ARE,

We found an abandoned kitten that was only two weeks old. We know she was abandoned because she was actually buried at a construction site and they dug her up. We kept her and fed her a kitten formula that you can find places like Farm King. She is still alive today so yeah. He could survive and I am sure he will be fine.

It's better to wait a bit longer. Sure the kitten can survive, if you rpovide food etc., but he may start looking for her and then he may go away and get lost. Plus, for a female cat who lives outdoors, spaying may take her away for more than a couple of days, it may take her away for a couple of weeks, until she gets the stitches off. So, unless you can take the kitten inside for a few days too, it's better to wait until the mother lets it go its own way, for another month at least. I doubt the mum will get pregnant again so soon.

The cat can survive as long as it is taken care of. Let the kitten stay with someone while you get the mother fixed, so that is has attention from someone. Try to find someone who will perminatly adopt him as well, he needs a home.

Sure. I got mine at about 8-10 weeks old. He's fine. He was very small and skittish, but now...3 weeks later...and he's doing great. He didn't want to eat for a few days, but he soon came around. Now he's eating like a little tiger and climbing and jumping all over the place.
Just make sure he's healthy. Take him to the vet for a "once over" and all his shots. You will also want to get him neutered when he's at least 12 weeks or so -- and healthy.
Good luck!
