Keep the litterbox immaculately clean, scooping after everytime it is used and changing it completely every 5-7 days. You could even get your cat a second litterbox.

First, do you have only one cat? Territory conflicts can cause inappropriate urination. Likewise, was there a cat in your house/apt before that may have marked territory?
There can be several reasons, cats are funny creatures.
You may wish to provide more than one litter box, a second in the location she is now using. Be sure to clean the area she is using well, and use white vinegar to destroy any residual smell. (More for her benefit than yours)
You may want to add some of your own urine to the corner of the litter box. Don't laugh. This will give your cat the signal that the litter box is the place you want her to go, and she should follow your lead. Since you can not 'talk' to her, this will get your point across.
Last, have you recently moved? If so, a feline phermone spray is helpful to calm stress. It is marketed under several names. The brand I used was feliway and I used the plug in for constant delivery. Check out your local pet store. These
products are very helpful for stress induced problems (including inappropriate elimination).
Good luck!

Your cat may be one of those picky ones who doesn't like to pee in the same place it poos. Try getting another litter box. Or it could be a sign there's something wrong, like the cat has a bladder infection or something and is relating the pain of that with the litter box. You may need to take her to the vet and find out for sure.

Urinary problems are common with cats, that may be the reason she is not using the litter box. If that's not the case you can try putting tin foil down in the spots she pees on, this will keep her out of the area. Good luck!

Sorry to hear that your cat is doing that. But I have had Cats that won't use a litterbox and they have to become outside Cats. Cat pee-pee Stinks. You might Try to put your Cat in a Cage with its Litterbox, food and water for a little while . Like they do at the Vets office.
Maybe this will help your Cat to use its littlebox. Good Luck

You need to change the type of litter you use and see if that makes a differance, try the all pine kind and see if that works or for that matter try a differant clay granule type. Are you using the scoupable or just the plain stuff? the clumping kind is the best of those types, but you must keep the litterbox clean or they will go elsewhere.

This is the classic symptom of a cat trying to tell you something is wrong. Cats are fastidious so when they do this it usually means a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) which the vet can easily treat. Or it could be another physical problem. But get your cat to the vet. UTIs HURT!

Check her for a urinary tract infection or crystals. This is typical behaviour when they have some discomfort peeing, and they associate it to the litterbox, so they pee elsewhere.
