I just adopted a cat from the humane society and would like to get her spayed. Can anyone suggest a good vet, with affordable prices?

www.aahanet.org has a vet locator that can help you find a good, reputable vet in your area. Hospitals that are members of AAHA is voluntary and they have to pass a certain number of quality standards in order to a AAHA certified vet hospital. These hospitals are held to a higher standard of quality and care than other vet hospitals are.

You can also look on humane society/ animal control websites for low-no cost spay/neuter clinics. In some cities there mobile spay/neuter clinics that offer free service to low-income people that qualify for their program.

Ah, people who answer on here are from all over the world, so we'll need an idea of what area you live in - at least what country!

For a faster and more accurate answer, I would suggest either asking the shelter what vet they use, or simply phoning the vets in your area for quotes to see who's the cheapest.
