My 10-11 week old kitten is throwing up on schedule about everyother day. It's like mush- as if her food hasn't digested and no hair in it. Afterwards, she continues playing, drinking, having fun. She tends to do this a few hours after eating. Potty habits are fine.We though that she was eating too much too fast and have paced her, but it continues. The vet can't find anythin wrong with her- all the tests and x-rays show nothing. They originally had me give her reglan. but don't want her on that forever. She has always eaten Hills science diet dry food for kittens. does she just have a super sensitive tummy? or what? any ideas?

Well- she went to the vet again today. Saw a different one than last time. He thinks she has worms. When I got her and the other kitten (not littermate), they had been dewormed, but she must have gotten them again. Last week she tested negative. This week, she has them. I believe this is what was wrong. I have found something very long- about 6 inches and flat on the floor. Also, this is gross, but I have seen something else working its way out- very small and white. Hopefully this deworming will work. The vet dewormed her and my other kitten.

Could be that she may have an allergy to something in the food. It happened to an adult cat of ours. Do they carry a version of the food for cats with sensitive stomachs? Perhaps the I/D or D/D or Z/D. I'd also contact the vet and tell them that the issue with your kitten has not resolved itself. It would be best if they took another look at her.

I don't think that your 10 week old kitten is pregnant it is too young. It sounds like your vet has done everything she can do for the cat. I would keep the cat on the medicine for a week or two to see if it helps. If it doesn't bring the kitten to a different vet to get a second opinion. Is this something the kitten has had since you got it or something that developed recently?

Well if your cat isn't deathly ill then it can't be the issue of the recall food. Have you checked to see if your brand is on the list of not to feed your cat...Mine ended up dying cause she got sick from eating the recall food. You need to change her food or else if she isn't getting any nutrition she will die. Try some boiled chicken cut up in small pieces and see if she can hold it down. I would also try some tender vittles but make sure it is not on the recall list. Something has to be wrong. It you change her food and she still is having problems, I would take her to another vet for a second opinion. good luck

Try changing her food to another good food , like Royal Canin kitten, or feed her boiled chicken for a few days. If she keeps throwing up, there has to be a problem. If she is OK, it's the food that upsets her somehow.

It sounds like your cat has a sensitive stomach but it could also be allergy related to her food. Try to switch over to Hills I/d formula, specifically for sensitive stomachs and see what happens. If things don't get better within a month it's most likely a food allergy. Good luck

My cat continued throwing up all her life (17 years), but there was never anything else wrong with her.... so I don't know, but just because she's a big mess doesn't mean she won't live a long and healthy life! Heh.

My gf says our kittens who are sick now with that, may have either toxemia (?) or are adjusting to their strange new diet.

Maybe you can get a second opinion from another vet.
