some times when they are taken from thier mothers to soon they will have this tendancy. six weeks is too young but they can servive seven to nine weeks is better when they naturaly ween .

My cat wasn't weened too soon (she was 12 weeks when I got her from a reputable breeder), and it's just something comforting for them. Its very common.

Because it reminds her of when she was with her mother. 2 years isn't that long. My cat is male and when he cuddles with me he still likes to and he is about 5.

my 1 year old calico does it to the corner of the couch...i think its just a reassuring nurturing type thing
