No, I don't think she's dead. Check animal shelters near you. Bring a picture of your cat so they know what it looks like. Your cat might be in one of them. If you can't find your cat in animal shelters, then I suggest you put out some food and see if your cat returns.
Did you put a collar on your cat? If you did, then that's good. Check in other neighborhoods and give the people a description of your cat and ask them if they've seen a cat like that.
I hope this helps! =)

Oh sweetheart, I'm so sorry your cat is missing. It's possible that your cat went off to be alone (they often do that at the end of their lives). But you could also imagine that someone found her and is giving her a good home too. It's really hard to know. In any case - my heart goes out to you. My 15-year-old cat had to be put down when she became really ill. It's a really hard and sad thing to go through. Just know that you gave her a really good, long life. Hugs to you!

If she is an outdoor cat, she may have crawled off to die in a peaceful place. Cats usually prefer to die alone, without you watching. 99 is old for a cat. She has had a good life I am sure. See if your parents will get you a baby kitten.

I lost my 12 yrs old cat a few months ago. He is on medication and I was scared that he left not to hurt us. I made flyers and passed them in my neighboorhood. I heard that he was hanging out at the park, so I bought a trap cage and had fried chicken (really smelly). I caught him that night.
Good luck

I have five cats, it's not unusual for one to get out and disappear for days, then show back up. My wife's cat lasted 13 years. Sometimes a good hearted soul thinks a cat is a stray, and takes it in, feeds it. They're is always hope.

I'm sorry but if you had kept her indoors where she belonged you would not be in this delima now. A responsible pet owner will have their animal neutered or spayed and either have them microchipped or have a collar on them with the vital information just in case they were to aaccidentally get out of the house. If people are going to have a pet then they should be responsible pet owners... I do not want to sound unsympathetic but I just have no patience with individuals that have pets and don't give them the proper care...

Onetime my son had an out side cat and it was suddenly gone. We believe a fox killed it. It hurt my son a lot.
