of course! its actually better to just give them dry food because its more nutritious and doesn't have as much cheap meat than wet food. also with the recent pet food recall, i wouldn't trust any wet foods for a while

I checked with my vet on this one recently because my cat will only eat dried food - nothing else. It is absolutely OK as long as it is a good quality food. Dried food is much better for their teeth. Just make sure to offer plenty of clean water all the time. My cat is healthy as can be.

My cats eat mostly dry food too, and so far they have been fine. It is not uncommon for cats who are switched to wet food to have diarrhea, you might be able to solve this by mixing in some of the kibble with the wet food. Just a thought.

I have feed my cats dry food for all of their lives, but although dry food is more nutritious wet food is better for their kidneys. In the wild 70-90% of their preys body is made of water (just like humans) so that's is where they get their water... feeding cats only dry food can cause their kidney to fail when they are older. But it is very good that you feed her chicken on occasion. Feeding dry food should also not be a problem if your cats have trained themselves to drink like dogs... like mine. If you have to fill up their water bowl more than once a day you should be fine feeding dry food.
Wet food will cause diarrhea in cats that are not used to it, so it is better to feed them a combination, mix the dry and wet together. I do this with my cats every other day.

Dry food is good to stick with as there are more capabilities down the line to buy a medicated dry cat food. For example a dry food for treating constipation or urinary track problems.

If she's bored give her some catnip or buy a few extra toys and see if that helps.

I never give my animals 'wet food'. They all always have dry food (dogs & cats). My mother who has had animals since before I was born (I am now 30) also has always kept strictly to dry food. The reasoning is because wet food always seems to give them 'the poos'. All of our animals have lived long & healthy lives!

If a cat's digestive system is used to dry food, canned food can indeed give them diarrhoea. Canned food in itself is not a diarrhoea cause, just if you're cat isn't used to it.

An all-dry diet is fine for a cat as long as they have constant access to fresh water. It's good for their teeth. If she's getting bored with it, chicken occasionally is fine.

Dried food has everything a cat could need in it. Wet, or canned food tends to loosen bowels a bit but won't hurt a cat. I keep mine on dry and every so often they get a treat ( like tuna or canned chicken)

I give my cats dry food all the time, they will only eat one kind so if you don't want to make them picky eaters then don't offer any other type foods. Dry food is best for kittens they just do better with it.

If she is really bored, try wetting the dry food.
I also give my cats dry treats, they get two every morning on top of their food.
