My landlord/neighbor killed my cat, threw him in the trash and wouldn't tell me where he was. He said it was his property and he could do what he wanted. I called the police and he just said it was only a cat. If you think this is wrong and there should be a law against it, please email me with your thoughts. My email address is tedee21@yahoo.com. Thank you! Deanna

he has been to the doc 3 times since he was very tiny for this sickness, and he isnt even a year old yet, the first time he was given antibiotic medicine when he was tiny, it helped and he was good for a bit and then he was sick again, lying next to the heater and not doing much of anything, but he was eating and drinking water, the vet gave more antibiotics, he was better for a bit and then again he was sneezing and not moving around much with runny nose and watery eyes, again he was given the same medicine, clarivox i believe it is called, not sure, but now he is out of the medicine again and sneezing and runny nose, i feel so bad for him....

it seems like he has to be on the meds continuosly, he hates taking them, i just wish he would be better, does anyone have any idea what could be the problem with my kitty?

It was done in Jan but its wound keep opening up after the stitches have been removed or before being removed. She has been stitched up several times. Blood tests showed negative for FIV, leukemia nor aids. She has been staying with the vet and kept in cage to prevent her from licking her wound nor be too active. She also seem depressed with that Elizabethen collar. What else can I do? It breaks my heart to see her suffering.

My 17 yr. old cat has spent the last two days in the vet hospital recovering from diabetes and I can't get a straight answer from them as of to what the long term cost per month is going to be. I live 60 mi. from the nearest vet and they seem to think that it shouldn't be a problem for me to drive in to the vet's office a couple of days a week to deal with all of her new testing. I love my cat dearly as she has been with me over half of my life, but I have two minimum wage jobs and the hospital bill itself is huge. I want to know what I will be looking forward to cost wise per month for managing this diseases and I do realize that it's very variable. Any responses are greatly appreciated! thanks so much

I am trying to befriend a stray cat that looks rough but not sick. Gradually building up its trust but dont want to spook him by trapping him for trip to vet. Im not sure he would get home or be happy in one as not young and very wild. He seems to live quite happy life as he is and wouldnt want to risk him being RIP'd if unable to adjust. As its kitten season he wouldnt get look in with a rescue centre at the moment and shame to lock him up all summer. Would like to give him stuff in food while sussing him out and improving his chances. He apparantly was feral kitten and has lived like this for years, an old lady got him neutered when he was young. Any helpful ideas?

My young cats are both pregnant within a week of each other. Is there anything I should be doing to prepare them? I introduced them to a box with a blanket in but they weren't interested in it. They have the run of the house but there aren't any quiet areas. Should I help them when they give birth and if so, how?! Finally, how long is their pregnancy?

Many thanks for any replies.

The skin underneath is not broken or red. It doesn't seem to even bother him but I've never seen this before and would like to help him.

My cat is ten years old and I noticed that some pillows that he slept on smelled terrible! But the strange thing is that he doesn't smell bad---it's just things that he sleeps on, or if he's in a room for a long time. Could he be secreting an oil of some kind? Also, he's very skinny, even though I feed him a lot. Is he okay?

Tara a female Calico has been taking Methimazole 0.20ml/2x daily. She will have labs and her med. will be increased or decrease based on her thyroid level. Her kidney functions are also affected w/ increased drinking and urination. She has now lost her appetite and her med. has been decreased. Do you have any suggestions on dosage and what she may like to eat that she just can't pass up because it smells and tastes so good. She is sleeping on the patio rather than her bed inside the house, I'm assuming she is hypothyroid at this time, w/ low energy and possibly the airconditioning is causing her to be cold? She's loosing alot of weight. Thank you

I have a 9 week old kitten that tried to suck and get milk from my male cat. I started feeding the little kitten regular milk and heard it was bad so I stopped. I was told to give him goats milk or the milk at the pet store to feed kittens. Which one is better and where do you get goats milk>

My cat's front right paw is swelled up. We let him outside every now and then. We don't think it's broken because he was walking on it. We can't take him to a vet yet because none of the local vets are open on weekends. What could be wrong and what should we do? Any advice is appreciated

Ok, so. This gray male cat has been hanging around our neighborhood/house fo close to 2 years now. We know he has always stolen our other cats food, it's not a big deal. In the past 6 months or so he has become alot frienlier towards us and me in particular. He comes every morning to eat and almost every night. About 2.3-3 months ago he got a wound on the underside of his neck, I'm pretty sure it began as a puncture wound, but it got infected and now it's a gaping cut. Like he got his face dragged under a tire for a few feet. It is on the whole side of his neck, red, puffy, pussy, the skin around it is burning hot. It is definately infected. It has been getting worse over the last couple months, and I feel bad b/c I can't clean it or take him to the vet b/c I'mk the only one that can touch him anywhere but his head, and he won't let me rinse his neck, I've tried. I asked the vet about it finally, I know its late, and he gave me some orabax to give hime everyday, it seems to help.
