If you can be sure of the cause of death, suing is an option. About the greiving process: have you have a burial ceremony yet? Perhaps having a friend over and a nice burial ceremony will help. Also, I find that just letting your feelings out helps. Don't be afraid to cry. I know it may be hard, but volunteering at the local animal shelter helps me. If it hurts too much, maybe you could volunteer with dogs instead? You'd be helping them so much and they could give you love in return. I don't suggest running out and getting a new cat. A new cat wouldn't fill the hole of the other cat you lost. Maybe in a couple of months, but not now. They say there is a rainbow bridge where your pets wait for you, one day, when you pass on, you will cross it and be reunited. I am so sorry for your loss.

I lost my dog to Ol' Roy dog biscuits so please understand when I say I understand your grief. I don't understand why everyone is so passive about all of this. I mean some had rat poisening too and if people don't care about the animals, they say it has gotten into human food too. I understand there is a class action suit but am not that familiar with what and where because I live in Texas. In Texas animals are considered property so even with a law suit one can only get the worth of the animal. Since mine was rescued long ago, his value is $0. If you live in other states, please check around and get involved. They certainly have it coming. You will have to prove by autopsy that melamine is in your cat's body and a vet will have to say exactly what the cause of death was and connect the death with the food. With the glutens I'm not sure. I'm so sorry for your loss and I hope you get even. Please do it for me too. Any way I can help, I'm available. I have also tried to get people to start boycotting Chinese products. They don't care what they slop over here and we are buying it.

hmnn.. I think you need to contact the pet food manufacturer and also probably would need your vet to sign off on the cause of the pet's death. However it happened I am so sorry to hear it as I know how hard it is to lose a pet no matter the cause.
I think that I read that many of the affected pet food manufacterers were willing to at least pay the cost of the vet bills for any animals sickened or dying from their feed.

I am so sorry you lost your cat.
I know what you are going through. I lost a cat in December.
He had anemia---and he went from being a very healthy cat (inside cat) to dying in less than a month from the time I took him to the vet. I was devastated --and I'm still not over it completely. I loved him so much.
It isn't easy--the grieving process---my thoughts and prayers are with you.

i think of this is large of you to feed your 12 year previous cat turkey. as quickly as we arise in years, or as human beings placed it , as we become older, our style buds replace. we adore type. food is not any distinctive. Do you become uninterested in ingesting the comparable difficulty day in and outing? to boot, turkey is a chook. Cats like birds and fish, and so on. if your cat is healthy and not on his way out, purely keep putting his food down. he will come around and consume it. i've got in no way conventional a cat to die from starvation. yet on the different hand, if your cat isn't healthy, and is on his way out, provide him regardless of he needs. inspite of each little thing he has been a easy better half to you so be form lower back.

I just lost my 14 year old cat Trixie on MOnday April 23rd. I had to put her down because she went into A diabetic coma. I am devastated. I lost my little girl. However I am feeling her little spirit and this is comforting me. I'm sorry for your loss.
