My cat came home with ticks, hundreds, she is an inside cat and accidently got out. I think that they are seed ticks, I have been frantically pulling them off, but there are so many I just do not know what to do. I made an emergency visit to the store to get some spray on Tick and Flea killer, I think it did no good. Please tell me what I need to do, she is miserable and I am paranoid and constantly scratching..... Can they get on me? Will my house be infested? Do I need to bring her to the vet? Any feedback will help

I live in southampton and at what age can this be done

Is this a result of basic scratching or is this a problem I should look into. The rest of the kitty looks fine, but the ears are starting to look half pink (skin) and half black (fur).

She doesn't scratch her ears often so I don't think it's a mite or fleas. Please help!

my cat kismet will chew on anything. he chews on the television remote, he chews on my son's toys. he also chews on anything he sniffs for a while, like a dog. he doesn't eat weird things, just chews on them. he also likes to wrestle like a dog and bites my hand, although gently. anyone else's cat do this...he also has a bad habit of stealing fluffy things.

Fletcher was in a cat fight, the area right where the tail comes from the spinal area. He was seen by the vet and given an antibotic but he chews at the area till it bleeds and today after 4 weeks he had some lumps with pus coming out. I put an antibiotic ointment on it and the spray on bandage. his back has spasms and he is acting really jumpy. He has had all of his shots and has been nutered too!

Felicity my persian cat is a really beautiful and very much loved cat but her breath is nasty. Her teeth are fine as I have taken her to the vet. The vet thinks it is to do with fur balls but nothing wrong there as she coughed up a fur ball the other day? Could there be somthing really wrong with her? Anyone have and experiance with cats? If so please help. Thank you.

I am taking care of my mother's cat becuase she was pregnant and she just had her babies Thurs. night. Gabbie is a very sweet cat, loves people, and has always been good since she was a kitten. The kittens are in the closet of my bedroom. I walked in there and poured her some more food, she walked out and started eating and I pet her just a couple times, 2 or 3, and then she attacked me! jumped at my face and then chased me out the door attacking my leg. My husband went in just to investigate (I know he shouldn't have) and he was petting her, she was purring and then jumped up and bit his face! I assume it's cause she's being protective but this is her 3rd litter, she knows both of us, we're not bothering her kittens at all, and she's in our bedroom! I don't want to wake up to a cat attack! Every vet in the area is closed - even cat hospitals - I can't get ahold of anyone. Can this be a sign of distemper? Rabis? or is it really just protective behavior?

My kitten(this was a one kitten litter) is two weeks old and his mom has just gone into heat again. She doesnt really want to feed him anymore and Im getting scared that he doesnt have enough to eat. I live in the country and I cant really go to the vet anytime I want. Is there some kind of easy to make home made formula to supplement what little he gets to eat. I have milk, mayo, eggs, and stuff. But I dont have yogurt or gelatin, or anythink like that. What can I use?

in a house 24 x 7, are they just ignorant of what it takes to have a mentally healthy cat?

If they ever installed a Kitty Cat door, and lo, their cats go outside and hang out, well does that not prove they are not being kind to their cat and are instead selfish and mean?

I just cleaner her litter box and found no poop, only urine. She's eating just fine, but hasn't pooped. Is there a way I can get her to poop?

Its not tight at all, but now theres a ring around his neck missing hair. I removed the collar completely for right now and he's staying inside. Do you think it just needs to be looser or is it normal?

He got out by accident once before and seemed to like it, so I opened the door for him. Now he just sits and stares at open door even though he won't go out now and yet spent many days tearing house apart to get out again! Is he just a control freak? What is up with this cat?

(English is not my first language and I am very tired, so please excuse if I make mistake.)

Bad kitty! Bad!

...love getting their butts spanked? When I stop spanking because of pure exhaustion, they freak out for more! Does anyone know why this is so pleasureable for them? I have both a male and female cat who enjoy this nightly ritual.

My cat was attacked by 2 dogs last week. She had major surgery on her stomach and had a drain taken out yesterday. Where the drain was it is an open hole! The vet said that this was ok, but I am panicking as it looks quite big.

Is this normal and how long will it take to heal?
