You can start offering kittens solid food from 4 weeks of age. If they are still with their mother and they start taking her food before then, that is fine. Kittens are usually on kitten food still with some milk at 6 weeks, and fully weaned by 8 weeks.

Kittens are more likely to start off on canned kitten food than dry, as it is more palatable to them and easier to eat - they might start just by licking it. You can mix dry kitten food in with it i you want when they're eating it properly, and if you really want them to be on an all-dry diet (not necessary if you're using a good quality food i.e not supermarket bought) you can wean them on to this in time.

6 weeks, but it must be soft solids, and kitten food or something in a blender and there is dry kitten food that they need as well. So do both.

I think something like 8-10 weeks.. my cat is 8 weeks and we leave him wet and dry food. He is starting to move to the dry food on his own... So it should be somewhere around there..
I have read that it is a good idea to mush up the dry food so its not too hard for them to chew..

you can introduce soft food to the kittens at 4 weeks.
use kitten food and moisten it well with water (NOT cows milk - cats lack the enzyme to digest lactose and it can make them seriously sick).
