i already have another cat that uses the box, but how do i get her too? ive never had this problem before, i always show them the box, and that's that..

It's possible that she wants her own litter box.
We have four cats...two of them ( Sisters ) share a box and that's the only box they will use.
The third female has her own litter box and that's the only one she will use.
The male also has his own litter box and will not use either of the other two.
If getting her a litter box of her own doesn't help, the I'd have a Vet take a look at her to make sure there isn't some health issue.

When litter training, some people leave the pet in one small room, such as a bathroom with litter box. Check on them often to see if they've used the box and make sure to reward them when they've used it. Also, if your cat goes on the floor, move the poo to the litterbox and set your cat down next to it to sniff around.
Follow the previous poster's suggestion of getting a bigger litter box, or get a second box. Your new cat could be thrown off by the other cat's scent, since scent is a territory marker to cats.

Sounds like ur litter box is too small for 2 cats, get a larger litter pan and keep it very clean, scoop out all the cat poo as soon as u see it and make sure the litter is not soaked with urine. Cats r fastidious and like room to dig and scratch over their droppings. Get a larger pan and change litter often, that should help.
