All I can think of, if there is no sign of irritation underneath, is the cat is just shedding. Some of my short but exceptionally thick coated cats will do that to some extent. Makes me think of sheep or something. Regular brushing will help..possible even some kind of dethatching comb if there is one for cats will get the undercoat thinned out as well.

Your aunt has had a sad existence, yet cat fur did not reason the miscarriages or the heart complications. there is another stress at artwork there. Cats can get T. gondii and are contagious for some weeks in a while. 25% human beings have had T. gondii with none warning signs. yet in simple terms in case, pregnant women shouldn't replace the cat clutter. i guess her husband would not help around the residing house?

Maybe allergies, but perhaps unlikely if the skin underneath does not appear affected.

Is the fur matted at all? Matts do eventually make the fur detach from the skin as they pull hard.

Definitely a case for the vet anyway, if you really want to find out fo sure what's going on!

Yes, this is usually a cause of allergies. I had a cat that was allergic to everything and her fur did this all the time. If you take your cat to the vet they may be able to give him a shot for this problem, but it might also be best to upgrade to a better food and brush your cat's hair daily.

I wonder if he is allergic to something. It's not normal shedding is it? Have you switched food recently?
