It is totally normal! I am so sorry for what happened! I would also be devastated! I am afraid only time can help! Not erase the memorey or the memory of the feeling you have right now, but soften it! What you need to think about is that your cat had nice moments with you, i am sure, and she or he would have wanted you to keep those nice memories alive, not the bad memories of the accident. Your cat deserves to be remembered for the nice moments, the purring, the happiness she gave you and you gave her. In her honour, please try to bring that to your mind every time you think of the accident. Ad also remember that death of a loved one and a pet is so sad, and you would have to experience it some day. Sure it is awful to die from a car accident, but sometimes it is more awful to die of a long and suffering illness.
Oh, and also you can rescue a kitten from a shelter in her honour. You may feel you don't want to replace her, but this is not replacement, you are obviously someone who can care for a cat, and your cat would want her death to give life to another kitten, who may be put down if you don't take it!

I'm so sorry to hear that. in 2000 my beloved cat daisy got killed by a car in front of my house (she was about to turn 3) and exactly 3 weeks later my other cat Dylan got killed in exactly the same way. i was absolutely distraught and it still upsets me thinking about it now. time is a healer and i know that sounds like a cliche but things will get easier. i find with nightmares if i try and read a book before bed it keeps your mind off things so that you can't let your mind wonder and fall asleep a little more relaxed. again I'm so sorry for you and hope that with time things get a little easier.

It turns into like a fan club already! in case you opt to declare how lovable you come across Edward is, or how lovable the books are, why do no longer you pass to the fan communities or some thing? nevertheless it is not agaist the policies to post that style of question, you're able to opt to contemplate that no longer everybody likes Twilight or Harry Potter or although.

the cat was part of the family, so you miss it,and the circumstances are tragic, you have to try and put it to rest, you may want to talk to someone who just listens, and remember the good time when you had her.it will get better, take each day as it comes, and dont be afraid to admit your not coping with the situation and perhaps speak to your JP,he may b able to point you in the direction of a councillor to help you cope.

I'm so sorry about your cat. You should look around the internet for pet bereavement boards. No offense to Yahoo, but I spent alot of time on the pet bereavement board at IVillage. They are wonderful, caring people and they know exactly what you are feeling (as do I). That was a terrible thing for you to see and experience, and my heart goes out to you. ((((Hannah))))

your having bad dreams huh?
well, it's ok. I had very bad dream as well. My dog got ran over by a truck.
Best thing to do is, think about something new, and do something exciting. Get the thought out of your brain. Forget about it. When you go to sleep, sing a happy song to yourself. Also, keep yourself happy. Never, or try not to, bring the subject up of having a dead pet. This makes me have a bad thought ...:(

Please go to www.petloss.com. There is a message board, a chat room where there are folks who have dealt with all the problems you have when you lose a pet., and other sources of help. I have found that placing my pet on the list for the candle ceremony (each monday evening) helps me a lot.
