I found a kitten who seemed to be abandoned
I brought him home
He's crying for his mommy, anyway to comfort him?
I don't want to take him back in case there isn't a mommy I don't want him to get hurt or anything.

If he's only about 4 weeks old, he may not be weaned yet. As with some of the answers, he will need kitten formula every couple of hours. You may also need to stimulate him to go to the bathroom by gently rubbing his bottom with a warm wet washcloth. Mommy cats take of that until the kittens are about 6 weeks old. One last thing, he may just be very scared. A wind up alarm clock that ticks wrapped in a blanket works wonders. Good luck to you. This kitty will be very loving.

The kitten may not have been abandoned though like most people think.
do you know about how old the kitten is? I would take the kitten to the vet and make sure its alright healthwise. if its very young it may need a bottle with kitten milk supplement. just feed it and keep it comfortable and warm until you figure out what you are going to do. good luck! :)

He needs plenty of kitty formula offered every few hours. Our vet recommends KMR Kitten Milk Replacer. You can use a needless syringe to feed it if he's too little for food. Really soft pate kitten foods are best when he's ready. Keep him snuggled close to you. Keep a little box with blanket in it for his bed so he feels secure. It could be the mom kitty is looking for him and was in the process of moving the litter when he got separated from them. Outdoors is not a safe place for him since hawks, coyotes or other animals will eat him or the kitty will starve. So keep feeding him lots of KMR and always offer fresh water. You can mix in kitten food with a little of the KMR but don't let it get stale or he'll get sick.
Find a local vet with kitten food supplies - it's the best way to find the appropriate care. His stools will also need to be vet-checked for various parasites so he can absorb the nutrients from his food and develop properly.

Ive rescued many kittens like those. first of all cats HATE water so dont bathe them, they self sparkling themselves. shop them heat! supply them blankets or towels. Love them, convenience them, those undesirable kittens are newborns, they dont have a mommy and dont comprehend what to do, you're their basically desire for survival! bypass to if u can a walmart or petstore get a mini bottle, (in simple terms ask the guy who works there) they're low priced, fill it with milk, the milk you need to purchase rather for kittens is greater helpful for the reason that the different makes them have diahreah which in turn will lead them to dehydrated...and you feed those little kittens via bottle this milk. the only with the attention has an infection, CAT drops/cream for the eyes might desire to help. deliver them someplace if u cant help them - perhaps a humane society - dont in simple terms enable them to die or be killed via somebody else.

The kitten may not be crying for his mother, but rather crying for attention from ANYONE. He may be pretty young, and many kittens under 4 months old, will cry when left alone.

Just give him lots and lots of love and kisses. I have an orphaned kitten at home as well. He is such a little purr machine. He is 18 days old today. I hold him up to my face and make kissy noises and he puts his paws to my face and gives me a kiss. SO freakin cute! Make sure he stays warm and eats enough. =)

You might try getting a bottle for kittens from your local pet supply store or vet. If he got taken from his mom too soon he may just be wanting to nurse. Also, give him plenty of attention. Good luck.

Place a cloth with your scent in a box with him. If that doesn't
work try getting a wind up clock and wrap the cloth around
the clock.

Make sure he has a comfortable place to sleep and try giving him a warm water bottle to cuddle up to. I would also give him warm kitty formula (you can buy it at Walmart) to make sure he his getting the proper nutrition.

Just snuggle him a lot. Let him suck on the silky edge of a blanket if he needs to. Pretty soon he will become confident and probably be a holy terror.
