Is she spayed? She could be in heat. If she is not spayed, keep her inside so that she doesn't become pregnant. Better yet, get her spayed.
Is she having a bowel movement and urinating in the box? Is she crying and sticking her butt out while she's trying to use the litter box? She may be constipated or is unable to urinate (which is an emergency).

well the first thing to do, is to measure exactly how much your kitten is eating and drinking. use a plastic tupperware bowl (clear) and mark the outside with a washable marker to see how much is gone over the day. if she is eating very little, and drinking very little then you have a few things to do. first, make an appointment with the vet. write down her sypmtoms, odd behaviors, her food brand, any meds she may be on now, as get a litter box sample (keep a sample of any potty marks she leaves, put them in a ziplock bag and keep it in the fridge until about 20 min before leaving for the vet otherwise the sample will go stale and will be of no use). in the meantime, look up her syptoms on a pet health site like this http://www.cat-pregnancy-report.com/cat-illness-symptoms.html and see if there are any NON-MEDICAL treatments. like adding more water or stopping her from having the moist food for now (which i recommend) also, if you notice that over a day less than about a third of her water is gone then you will have to hydrate her yourself. Those little turkey baster things they use to give medicine to newborns is perfact. fill it with water and open her mouth, squeeze about a third in , close her mouth, tilt her head back and rub her throat gently to help the water down. administer about a fourth to a third of a cup of water this way. look for signs like runny eyes also that may mean a respitory infection or something else as well and note that too. see if her nose is cool and wet or warm and dry (the latter is a sign of fever) and DO NOT MISS THE VET APPOINTMENT FOR ANYTHING. even if she does start using the litter box, the doc may have special instruction or run tests for gastro problems or crystals which sometimes can be fatal if not treated. well, i hope everything works out for you both!! good luck PM me for more websites about natural cat health at ugfounder@yahoo.com

Silly question, but has your cat been spayed? If she's sticking her butt in the air, crying a lot and more affectionate than usual, then she's in heat. Get her spayed as soon as possible, not only will you prevent her from having unwanted pregnancies, but it will reduce her risk of developing ovarian cancer later on in life.
If I'm wrong and she is already spayed, then take her to the vet for a check up as they will be able to give you an accurate diagnosis and treatment if she isn't well.
Good luck

Sounds very much like she's in heat. They make awful noises an arch their back.
As for if she's constipated or not - a vet can tell you! This is he place you should be taking your cat anyway, to get her spayed. At least keep her inside to stop her getting pregnant, cats can get pregnant from 4 months of age.

TAKE HER TO THE VET!
Not using the litter box can be a VERY bad sign. Constipation is actually the least of your worries! My cat has struvite, and if she stops using the box, it means she has a urinary backup and needs major surgery to correct it. You don't want that to happen, so get her in!

If she hasn't pooped for more than three days: vet! Pronto! Constipation is quite common in long hair cats, but if you wait too long, she will need surgery. The colon digests most of the water, so it can affect the kidneys, too. And she seems to be in pain (is she vomiting? Has she eaten?). Please go to a vet with her!!

My vets had me use a human toddler laxative (liquid) mentioned as Colloxyl on a kitten with a severe continual constipation difficulty. long tale so I won't bore you with too many info different than it replaced into simply by being taken from his mum at 3 weeks and fed god in straight forward terms is conscious what for a week till now he replaced into dumped at my vets premises on deaths door step. there are a number of motives he must be in soreness yet i could be thinking the comparable component as you. Did the vet do an x-ray to make helpful your cat did no longer have a gut blockage?? i could be insisting that the vets did this and in straight forward terms charged for the x-ray and meds. Definately refuse to pay consultation expenditures as that ought to have been finished at your bypass to. are you able to obtain any human parrafin oil? in case you could syringe 2ml into the back of his mouth over the tounge. The maximum secure oils in case you won't be able to get toddler laxative or parrafin is olive or sunflower, yet take care to no longer get it in his lungs, as you will ought to syringe or dropper it into his mouth. If he starts off to instruct particularly severe soreness, panting, severe temp, spaced out or turns into particularly verbal, seek for an emergency vet, gut blockages and different injury to their insides could be deadly. additionally whilst they take a bad turn they are able to bypass down hill very immediately.

Sounds like she may be in "heat". The only way to stop that from happening is to get her fixed before she gets pregnant.
