She's a bicolored cat, and from your description, she specifically sounds like a Tuxedo cat:
"To be considered a true tuxedo cat, the feline's coloring should consist of a solid black coat, with white fur limited to the paws, belly, chest, throat, and often the chin, although many tuxedo cats appear to sport goatees, due to the black coloration of their mandible -- that is, the lower jaw and chin."
I have a Tuxedo cat, and he is one of the sweetest cats I've ever had.

A veterinarian or experienced shelter worker would term her "DSH" or domestic schort hair if she's smooth hair. Longer hair would be DM(edium)H, DL(ong)Hair. She joins the ranks of the "Tuxedos," not a specific breed, but an afectionate classification; other color would assign her to bi-color DSH. As for the tail, that will certainly add to her personality and she even provides a dot for the "question mark." Crooked tail is a genetic as well as a possible injury trait. I've seen it in more than 12 generations of feral cats in older colonies and nothing to worry about as long as it was a "clean" break, but chances are, Ma Nature gave her the "Donna Quixotic" look to remind us the only lasting fahion is your love for her. Important thing is she's "Your" kind of cat and 10-12 pounds is a good weight for a young queen at maturity. Have you had her spayed? Do that for her as well as get the shots, especially if she is a member of a multi-cat household or sneaks out to meet the "fellas." Spaying will prevent a lot of problems besides pregnancy.

She's probably just one of the millions of cats that have been grouped into the Domestic Shorthair category because they're not a specific breed. And as far as the crooked tail, it's most likely from a break at birth or shortly thereafter, that i'm aware of there aren't any breeds that characteristically have a crooked tail.

The vet would probably classify her as an American Short Hair, which I think is their catch all for a cat that's not a specific breed, but has short fur ;)
Someone would have to see the cat, it's facial structure and body shape in order to have a clue... If she has blue eyes there's probably some siamese in there.

Probably a domestic shorthair, which is a name given to cats of mixed breeds. Domestic shorthair cats are shown at cat shows and yours sounds absolutely beautiful! It's hard at this point to pinpoint which breeds make her up. Probably Many, like us Americans!!! LOL! Make sure she gets spayed.

She is probably just a domestic shorthair. It would be easier to tell if you had a picture I could see.
