For the past 3 days he's been throwing up and having bad diarrhea, but is otherwise okay. He isn't lazy or visibly hurting or anything else. The weather recently changed here from fairly cold to hot, could that have cause his illness? Could it be serious? We really don't have the money to take him to the vet...

Diarrhoea and throwing up - you don't need any other symptoms to be concerned, this is quite bad enough!

No, bad weather does not cause vomiting and diarrhoea - only serious illness causes that! There can be many causes - a virus, poisoning, liver or kidney problems or even cancer.

PLEASE take the cat to the vet, I can promise you he needs it. The diarrhoea or the vomiting alone is cause enough for concern, but put them both together....

Tell the vet you have money issues, borrow money, max out your credit card - do anything, just get that cat to the vet.

I know the vet can be expensive, but I think you should go. Especially with the pet food recalls and issues lately. Try calling your vet and telling them what's going on, tell them you can't afford to pay a lot, maybe they'll help you with payments or something. Good luck, I hope he's okay.

Throwing up is not a good sign. Plus he could get dehyrated. You really need to take him in. Maybe you could work out a payment method. Just ignoring it could be fatal. I don't think the weather is a factor.

Maybe his food isn't agreeing with him. Or it also could be that he shouldn't of. And the only other thing is maybe he has worms.
