My cat had the same issues. We found out she is allergic to fleas so instead of giving her the once a month flea medication, the vet said it was ok to give it to her twice a month and she isn't naked anymore!

Others have mentioned an allergy and I agree and think the first place to look is food allergies. Many cat foods containb stuff that are species inappropiate. Cats are carnivores. I would look for canned foods that do not contain gluten or carbs and I would also by a quality canned that has meat listed at the first ingrediant. best of Luck

Have you been to the vet? That should have been your first course of action. When you are sick, you go to the doctor. It should be the same for your pet.
Our cat licked her back raw when she had fleas - this may be the problem. Your vet can tell you for sure.

I agree, it may be allergies. But, is she overweight? One of my cats was overweight, and he licked his belly because he couldn't reach his rear end when he was grooming himself. The sides of his belly also rubbed together when he walked, so the hair fell out. Just another idea!
