My cat's face is swollen due to a bad tooth. The vet has waited to take it out and now they are closed for holiday. Is there anything I can do until I can get her to the vet on Tuesday? Thanks.

I thought they were mice, but I saw one and it was like the size of a cat. How can I be sure?

The whole time I have had my cat his tail would always twitch alot. The only time his tail wouldn't twitch is when he is in a deep sleep. Does anyone know why this happens or how I can stop his twitching.

Ya know the little rubber things you glue on your cats claws? Do they really work or do cats find a way to get them off. I have a really crazy cat so do u think he will get them off.

He is an indoor cat. Yesterday I opened my door and he zoomed out and ran next door where this huge dog lives. I don't know why he wants to fight with a big dog because as large as he is 26 lbs, he is still smaller than the dog next door...(approx.80 lbs) I had to get his claws out of the poor dog. Now the dog is afraid of any cat and I feel awful! Why is my cat, Little Puss acting this way? He is usually sweet and loving!

I have been interested in getting a cat for a while but I would like to ensure it is safe. I have read on many websites that indoor cats live much longer and are safe but I want to know if the cat will be happy. The cats I saw at the shelter were in tiny cages. My house would give it much more space. Is it cruel to keep them indoors mostly?

I was reading and that occured to me. I have never had a persian or a long haired cat till now and he grooms himself ALLLL the time. He has not had matts or tangles. I am just asking because i am curious. Kids get tangles, and so do long-haired cats,so i was just wondering...

people said baths are bad for cats and will dry their skin out (i don't get why since the water would wet it down?), so i decided to listen to that and instead i tried to vacuum them clean. they kept running away and it took me a while to corner them with the vacuum cleaner, but i finally got them into the closet and used the rug attachment because their furs like shag carpeting. it worked real good, except that mr. snickers got his tail caught in it and he screeched real loud, but i pulled it out and most of the fur's still on it so he's okay.

anyway, my question is: later on i got the vacuum out again just to clean the drapes. i wasn't even paying no mind to mittens and mr. snickers but they started yowling and running around the house like crazy cats!!! why are they so afeared of the drapes being clean?

The vets are shut today because its new years day, My cat isnt look that crash hot, his eyes are swollen, and this morning i noticed his lower jaw looked swollen, and when i felt, he has to very large hard lumps under his chin on his neck which appear to be swollen glands, He is lethargic and not himself. He is on tablets for a fungal infection but he has been on them for 6 weeks, but I have started him on a vitamin and mineral supplement and some cod liver oil. Is it possible for cats to get Vit A overdose? I am very worried, will book him into the vets asap tomorrow morning. But in the meantime, does anyone have any advice!!!

She is a rescued cat, was mistreated and is still sometimes skittish, like when the toaster pops she startles. She is a little over a year old as the vet wasn't able to determine exactly when she was born. I've had her since she was about 4 months old, a friend rescued her, but then there was a time when she stayed with someone else and I think he was the one who mistreated her because she used to sleep/play on my bed but now its like she's afraid to get up on it. I talk to her a lot but, sometimes I think I am hovering too much. She has lost interest in her toys but likes boxes, something I should have known. It worries me sometimes when she's hiding in the closet sleeping. Also, she won't let me pat her head from the front, only if I approach from behind or the side. I wish she would sleep on the bed with me but she prefers my computer chair in the other room. Should I pretty much ignore her and let her do her thing? I don't want her to become neurotic like me...lol.

Due to bad weather and a possibly several day long power outage, my parents are going to go to a dog-friendly hotel with their dog, and drop their cat off at our apartment.

We have two cats who are declawed. They have never met my parents' cat. Their cat has not been declawed. All three are adults. Is there ANY advice you have on how we can bring the three together without a massive cat battle?
