I'm worried that she is feral. She is only 8 weeks old and occasionally she can be really sweet. But she is biting and scratching my children, and hissing, spitting and arching her back at all of us. I can hardly pet her now. Any suggestions???

My boyfriend rescued a kitten who is female and seems to be under a year. She is very content and active, but doesn't seem to understand the litter box we have for her. Does anyone have any tips for training her and for finding a family for her?

I just adopted a 1 year old kitty from the shelter. Tonight I've been observing him drinking his water and each time he approached his water dish a strange behavior occurs. Basically he will stick his mouth in the water and make his front paws move in a digging motion. His paws are not inside the dish when he does this so I don't think he is splashing the water around. I'm just wondering if anyone else has witnessed a cat doing this. What is he doing?

My female cat has been in heat for about 3 days now and I was wondering how much longer. I will get her spayed as soon as she is not in heat anymore. It cost more if they are in heat when you do it. She is driving me bananas.

Is it a self-esteem problem?

So far, i got this kitten last week, and he is 8 WEEKS old. I am currently feeding it IAMS, which i dont think is the problem. For my kitten, it has long fur, which means that every time he poops in the litterbox, i must clean his be-hind or else he will leave trails of poop everywhere he goes (esp when he sits, or has poop around his feet from stepping on it when covering it with kitty litter stuff). I just simply use damp tissues to wipe him, and im not rough with him. It was just yesterday, when i found little spots of blood in his feces, its not a ton of blood, only very little. Im being very careful and responsible with him everyday, so please do not critizise me by saying im a bad owner. Thanks for your time!

The cat is about 1 year and 3 months old. She is no lap cat and is not really affectionate. She does some damage to the house, and can be a pest. I have brought her outdoors a few times, but she does not like it. Cleo runs in almost immediately. We live in a neighborhood that has very little traffic, and no dogs running around.

I would be grateful for any suggestions about how to get my cat to live in the great outdoors.

What I mean is, without the need for a neutering operation, are there any cats that are unable to conceive, because they were born that way or whatever other reason, and how does one find out?

I've noticed my cat has been sneezing frequently and also scratching his ears alot. The inside of his ears are dirty. His behavior isn't any different, he still is very playful and seems to be happy. Is there any kind of over the counter medicines I can give to him or home remedies I can try?

My cat learned the hard way unfortunetly about messing with table cloths and books as one fell on her head the other day while she tugged on the cloth. She is fine but has a lump on her head. Is in just swelling or should we run to the vet?

Many of you have been helping me with my cat, Smokey. For those of you who haven't answered anything about this, here is what happened. My cat is only two years old. Yesterday, I came home from the doctor and I looked at my cat's ear. He had a cut on it. So I called my cousin who is a vet and she said to put some antibiotics on it. So I did. This morning, it kinda looked better. Only for one thing. Well last night there was a small amount of blood on his ear and it's gone which is good but the area where his cut is or was, looks kinda like orange, not the normal color pink. Not red like swollen. Just orange. It weird! Does anyone know if that's normal or a sign that it's healing? PLZ HELP SMOKEY!!! <33333

We believe we have a bobcat killing our chickens, (or at least one really big wild cat) and would prefer not to have to shoot or kill it. Any ideas how to make him leave?
