I rescued a kitten a few months ago. She is a siamese mix, and she has some odd behaviors, just wondering if anyone out there can explain it. Since we got her she has been EXTREMELY vocal, and i understand that a lot of oriental cats are very vocal, but it is like NON STOP. She can go for an hour straight, and the only way to get her to quiet down is to pay DIRECT attention to ONLY her. Has anyone else had a cat like this? She also acts as if she is coming in and out of heat sometimes, and she is only about 4 months old. She will sometimes rub on you non stop and lay down on her tummy with her tail up and over her back. She does this for a few days, and then quits for a while. I work at a vet clinic, and the veterinarian i work for said she may have sistic ovaries, but she is too young, and too light to spay. And now she is kneeding my lap and putting her face into my leg as if she is trying to nurse. She has been doing it for about 15 minutes now. Can you explain any of this?

cat has changed over night from a bouncy happy bundle of fluff to a very un-animated, slow uninterested fluff ball she was sick yesterday and has not used the toilet since. I do have anti biotics, a full course and am thinking about administering them. She is only 6 months old and has not been spayed yet, she still enjoys a brush but is noticable slower, and and does not like much attention, what shall I do?? help me please

My older cat was sneezing a lot...and then she started...I left the window open one night and it was kinda rainy so i think it might be a cold? Are there any medicines are natural home remedies I could use to help my little baby?

My 5 month old kitten has suddenly taken an interest in meowing at my turtle. Before we left for South Carolina for Christmas she had no interest in him whatsoever. He lives in the kitchen in a 26 gallon aquarium next to the kitchen table. Now that we are both home, she will jump up on it, lean against the chair, and start meowing at him. If I walk over, she'll look at him and then at me and let out a little meow. I was planning on getting her a playmate in May/June. Another kitten. Do you think she just wants to play with my turtle? I'm kind of curious why she has suddenly started to meow so much!

He walks around funny and has been doing it for about a week now. He holds his head down and now he's even leting the front part of his back kind of slouch a little. He got out about a day before we noticed the issues and he came running back to the front door absolutely terrified. Any veterinarian or vet techs out there?

Over the past few days we've noticed one of my cats (18 years) stumbling around slowly and occasionally bumping into things. They were too far appart for us to suspect anything though. Today she has totally gone from bad to worse. She can't see anything and she's walking into everything and getting lost around the house, crying for us to come help her. We would take her to the vets but they're closed for the New Year. We've noticed her pupils aren't dilating and they're cloudy. Any advice? And also she has an overactive thyroid gland. Is the blindness anything to do with this or is it just old age?

I just went to the vet yesterday and he told us that my cat has arthritis on his back and that she may have a possible cancer of lungs or liver. But he said that we need to do an ultrasound. My parents and I think that we shouldn't do it. But my question is how do we know if my cat is going through lots of pain due to cancer? How do we know that it is time to put her to sleep forever?

Even when my husband bends down to give me a kiss, she will snap at him. I scold her but with words. How do I break her of this bad habit? Any suggestions?

I have a 5 year old long haired mancoon/siamese mix female cat. She has been fixed and declawed (thank God!). She is very sweet and loving, purring, playful and wants you to hold her and pet her - one second, and biting you the next. There is no predicting when she will snap. The other night she was laying on me and got REALLY mad when i moved her (hissing, growling, swatting, etc). In general she is a very loving cat most of the time, she just gets pms or something without any warning. Does anyone else have similar problems with their cat? Do you know why they do this?

It is a pale whitish color, but not as runny as you would think. At first I thought she was throwing up, but then I noticed she has some stuck to her bum. I have been feeding her Whiskas, some kind of chicken and gravy mix, as well as hard kibble for kittens. Could it be her food? Thanks!
