They are a lot harder to find now. I called lots of shelters and rescue organizations. Apparently, I wasn't the only one thinking of getting one for a Christmas present. The only ones I could find on the Internet were from breeders, and they have some control over cat's cycles.

Even though they can have several litters a year the spring does seem to be "the busy" season.

However, one year I went to the humane society at the end of march and they only had one kitten there. He didn't like me, so I ended up getting a 3-year old cat. That was at least 11 years ago and I still have her. She is absolutely the best cat I have ever had, and the only one I didn't have as a kitten. Kittens are soooooooo cute, but you might see if there's an adult cat out there with a personality already formed that you like. There never seams to be a shortage of adult cats unfortunately.
Good luck, I hope you end up with a pet you can love long time.

if u want a moggy the best thing to do is check the shelters, sometimes entire families get brought in, usually because the owner hasn't spayed his cat nd she's come home pregnant but they don't want kittens so they dump her at a shelter either while she's still pregnant or just after she's had them.

at this time of year moggy kittens are rife in shelters on their own because people buy them thinking aww cute kitten, what a great xmas pressie for my kid then realise how much work they are.

Kittens can be born anytime of year. We just adopted out alot of them and have one little one right now still nursing. Many of the kittens who are born outside or come into the shelter in bad condition this time of year also end up dying. Theyre bodies cannot handle the sickenesses going around and if they were born to a sickly mother who isnt taken care of they have low immune systems anyways and when the viruses come they get them easily. We lost alot of kittens this year, including one I hand raised from about 3 weeks. He lived to 9 weeks and I was going to keep him but we ended up losing him. Look in your local shelters though, they are bound to get kittens in eventually.

Yes you can. My mom got a kitten a month ago. You can ether go to the pet store and get a kitten or you can go to the animal shelter and get a kitten. Their are many kittens and cats that need a good home.

You're right, typically kittens are found in droves in the spring, but if you check with your local animal shelter you may be able to find a kitten. Also try Petfinder.com for kittens. Good Luck

Hi, yes you can get kittens though there are not so many about as at other times of the year.

I'd try your local Cats Protection, RSPCA or other shelter. This site might help.
http://www.catchat.org/adoption/index.html

Or try Kittenlist - there are adverts on there for moggies:

Contact your local cat rescue centre. There are plenty there that need homes.
Actually I am picking up my rescue kitten (she's about 7 months old, so still technically a kitten) up on Wednesday. Can't wait.
Enjoy yours when you get it.

Yes. My boyfriend is looking after some right now!
Check with your local breeder as to availability with them, and if they know someone who has kittens for sale right now.
