We have a toshiba satellite p100. I was turning the system on and it was taking forever so I thought I would shut it down and try again. Now I can't turn it off I got this screen for a half a minute saying something about hibernation and then the screen went black. My power light is on and the fan is going but I can not get the screen back to close it off. I have an anti virus on it so I know that is not the problem. I tried hitting power and funtion key but nothing Any ideas on what I can do? Thank you any suggestions would help.

I've had my current 2 year old cat for4 months now. He's fiv and is therefore kept indoors. He doesn't mind this but seems a bit lonely. When I adopted my current cat I discussed the idea of getting a second pet. However, i've been researching introducing a new cat and it involves a lot of separation. I live in a one bedroom flat that would be big enough for us all eventually, but as my cat currently has run of the whole house, I don't think he'd like being excluded from the bedroom for 10-21 days. Is there any solution? I'm worried that if my cat feels excluded he may get stressed. Also the reason that I think my cat might be a little lonley is that I work during the week. I'm worried about how long i'd have to take off to make this work.

We used to have a sweet female kitty, who beat up the neighbor's German Shepherd so often, they would knock on our door and complain. Poor thing was just defending herself.

We have a rescued kitty - 2 mos old at the time we got him - he started pooping & peeing outside of the litter box at about 4 mos. We took him in & found out he had a worm & bladder infection. We had him neutered & declawed & put on worm meds & antibiotics. It has been 2 wks - now he uses the litter box most of the time, but still will go outside of the box at least once a day. We had him put on stronger antibiotics 2 days ago - but not seeming to help. I don't want to give this kitty up - any ideas? Oh yes, we have 2 other cats - all 3 were using the litter box just fine until the little one decided not to.

Any suggestions how to stop my cat scratching my carpets, she has a scratching mat and 2 scratching posts (she is totally disinterested in them all), I have tried spraying them with catnip, and I have one of those pet behave sprays (strong citrus smell) which does deter her, but when the smell wears off the carpet she scratches again. It's driving me mad and wrecking my house! When I catch her in the act I shout at her and she knows she is not supposed to do it, but it seems to happen when I am in bed at night.

Don't You Think Some People Are Just A Little Out There, When Their Whole World Consists of Cats, They don't care for children , or apparently anything else .. Their Cat's Litter Box Is In Their Kitchen !! Which is gross !! Their Opinion Is Always The Right One , But Only Reguarding Cat's ... Do They Not Realize There Is A Whole World Out There ??????

hi, on the recommendation of several people here i bought some of that spray that's supposed to stop cats from scratching up the furniture, and i've been using it all morning. i sprayed mittens and mr. snickers in the face every time they even looked like they were thinking about scratching anything, and it worked pretty good because each time they would run away sneezing. but the spray is running low, and what's worse is they jumped up on top of the refrigerator to get away from me and now they won't come down no matter how much i yell at them!!! what should i do?

I understand that kittens need time to adjust to their new surroundings and are going to be nervous for a while. But I feel that I have to hold her and introduce myself to her and cuddle her at least once! Will she stop being nervous on her own? Can I trust that she'll come around?? How can I coax her out of wherever she is??

My 2 kittens are going to the vet next week for their 3rd set of vaccinations, and the vet office is about a 15-20 minute walk from my apartment. The temperature here can get to about -10 C/15 F this time of year. Is that too cold to carry them to and from the vet in their carriers so I don't need to get 2 cabs or will they be fine? They are totally indoor cats so may not be used to the extreme temperature drop.

The temp drops to near-freezing at night. One was not moving very much, did not drink or even eat the tasty treat. Next day she was okay. Then the same thing happened with another cat. I am trying to keep them hydrated so they will eat. They won't eat if they're not hydrated.

I noticed yesterday that a few of my cat's teeth have what looks like bloodstains on them. If her gums have been bleeding, is this likely to be an infection? Or what else could it be? And what causes it?

we are both male. He purrs a lot and sleeps up against me on my arm usually. Or we both sleep on our backs and he puts the side of his head up against mine.

He's 9 weeks old, kicked the dry food all over the floor but he will come back and eat only the leftover food in the bowl, and afterwards he kicked some of it out of the bowl again. I scolded him each time but he never stop. When the bowl is empty he will cry for more dry food even though it's all over the floor, he expect me to put everything back to the bowl. Weird!
