Baby food is not a good long-term choice for cat food as it contains no taurine and I hope you are not feeding them any baby food that contains ONION or garlic powder as that can cause serious problems.
Get some Natural Balance - they have a salmon canned food that might appeal to the cats. When I use canned food I usually add a tsp. of filtered water to each serving for additional moisture. Natural Balance also has a chicken and chicken liver, a turkey and turkey giblet, a venison and pea (that's quite dry for some reason - add a lot of filtered water to get it close to soupy). There are other good quality canned foods and my cats seem to like the Natural Balance.

I'd probably find another vet for a second opinion before paying another $500 to a vet that didn't give you any help to begin with. Try to find a 'cats only' vet or clinic if possible. You might try giving him some plain steamed or lightly boiled chicken. Put it in a food processor with some of the cooking broth so he'll get some extra liquids. Or you can shred it into tiny pieces and pour a little broth over it. If he won't eat the chicken, try some beef or rabbit. At this point, you just want to get him to eat a little and not get dehydrated. You could even try raw meat if he won't eat the cooked. Another option would be all meat baby food. Make sure there is just meat and broth (no vegetables, etc.). Either Beeches or Gerber makes a Veal baby food that cats seem to like really well.

If these are your cats, you need to bring them in ,at least at night when it is so cold(also keep in during the day if it is cold) If these are Ferrel or stray cats that you are taking care of, they need shelter. My husband made a small dog box, where the top came off. you can put a heating pad in it (made especially for pets)Don't use one for people, it could burn them. Also you can put a low watt light bulb inside which will produce warmth. (again, being careful the wattage is not too high, or it could burn them---maybe 25 wt.)

Why dont you let them in side at night or porvide them a safe warm spot out side. Then go to a pet supply store and by them kitten milk.
Human baby food is not the food they should eat.

Animals should be kept indoors in the cold weather. It is very unsafe for them to be outdoors.
The reason their "not moving much" is probably because they are too cold. I think I'm understanding you.
Please keep your pets indoors, they'll stay warm and will eat and drink.

A friend of mine had a very good solution for her outside cats on cold wintery nights. She got a dog house and put a heating pad set on low in there for them. They flock to that on a cold night. She never had any problems getting them to eat.

keep them warm at all times, make rice packs by using a sock with dry white rice, tigh a knot and microwave for 3 to 4 min. get a dropper or a syringe and warm water and force feed water and chicken baby food or get some mothers milk from the store and warm it for them . if that doesn't work, you will need to take them to the vet and get some sub-q fluids.
