We have a toshiba satellite p100. I was turning the system on and it was taking forever so I thought I would shut it down and try again. Now I can't turn it off I got this screen for a half a minute saying something about hibernation and then the screen went black. My power light is on and the fan is going but I can not get the screen back to close it off. I have an anti virus on it so I know that is not the problem. I tried hitting power and funtion key but nothing Any ideas on what I can do? Thank you any suggestions would help.

Another way to shut it down is to push the power button and hold for approximately 5 seconds. The computer should then go off and you can restart it then.

hold down alt ctrl delete and click & hihghlight programs 1 at a time click end task then do it one last time when all programs are closed and this should close pc down Good Luck (depending on what version of windows you have this may be listed different when you click on bottom to close)
