Your baby loves you.:) I have an 18 yr. old cat and I am the only one he does this with. He has all his life.
When he does this I rub my chin on the top of his head while I'm holding and loving him. I have always done this. I believe this goes back to his "real cat momma."
It is a sign of affection and he sees his human momma as his momma. Feel honored that your kitten does this to you.:)

He's also marking you as his. Cats have scent glands everwhere, on the pads of their paws, on the "cheeks" where the whiskers are, and a few other places. Hense why de-clawed cats still "scratch" on things. He's telling the world that you are his. Plus, he loves you and is showing you.

Of course it is normal. Being a cat owner all of my life, and recently having 4 right now, they always do it too me. Its just a simple sign of affection. No need to worry:]

He is loving you, silly! Yes it is normal. Sometimes they will give you love bites. We have a tom cat who has always shown love for us like this, but does not like being held. It is your kitten's way of showing he loves you - affection. You're lucky! Smooch him back!

As you see from the answers it's a totally normal behaviour. In fact you should feel quite honoured as it is a sign of trust. What your baby is asking you to do is lick him (which would be us petting him). He sees you has his tribe leader and wishes to reassure himself that you will be taking care of him.
