this cat is not fat though, he's just big. The only fat he has is from being neutered.

I've taken him to the vet and he said he's just big and that a diet would be futile, he doesn't eat off the table or anything like that, either, and I don't give him a whole lot of treats.

I have a maine coon mix. when we got him as a kitten his tail was so long my family thought he'd never grow into it. well he did.He was huge when he was younger I would say 25 lbs. But now he is old and lost weight but is still around 15lbs. He is the friendliest cat and love him to death.

WOW! 25 pounds is HUGE! I work at a vet clinic, and Buddha lives there, he is just a mixed breed tabby cat, and he was at one point 26 pounds! He has been on a diet for about 6 years now, and he is down to 20 pounds. Hah, he is so driven by food he used to break into the food room and open all the bags of food and eat out of them. He has a big bone structure, but he is more FAT than he is big. He is a wonderful cat, i love him.

sorry but my cats nine years old and still is only around 10 pounds. u should take him to a vet and see if there's something wrong. if u want him to slim down try only feeding him at certain times like at 2 p.m. i don't know what else there is to due but that.

My cat, a pure American Gray Shorthair, is 24lb, and he is not fat, just give him some exercise, and not a diet, just give him a mouse to chase and let him go, like a battery operated ole, mines lost 1lb on that so far.

Wow, my cat is 13lbs, and we got her there because the vet said 15lbs (what she was before) was too fat. Being chubby shortens the lifespan and hurts the joints, so make sure you keep it within reason.

Mine range from a Maine Coon (26#), a tortoiseshell (22#). all the way down to a gray tabby (9.5#). Interestingly , they all get along and don't use their size to bully the smaller ones.
