You should probably take your cat to the vet because my friends cat was doing the same thing and took hers, the vet put it on an antibiotic for an infection that was in its system. The vet said sometimes they pick up colds and flu buggies just like us.

RE:
My cat has been sneezing and wheezing...seems congested. Is this normal and should I be more worried than I am
My older cat was sneezing a lot...and then she started...I left the window open one night and it was kinda rainy so i think it might be a cold? Are there any medicines are natural home remedies I could use to help my little baby?

Sweety, I have 8 cats and one dog, they are all loved and cared for. The cat that you speak of, that is sneezing and wheezing I would call your vet and let him or her know when your cat started this and any other signs. My cat Rugus has been sick with a cold ever since we got him at the (S. P. C. A) there is a name for what he has but for him it will never go away. I feel so sorry for him. He was so sick a month ago, I thought he would never get better but he did, he is a strong cat. So the best advice to give u is call your vet!!

ummm cats don't normally catch colds. if its been a few days may need to go to a vet. older cats little bodies are delicate and don't hv an easy time healing on their own ): shelters usually hv a vet volunteering if you can't afford it.
ps - DO NOT give your cat people meds!! cld kill them!! they weigh next to nothing and being old, it cld overpower their heart. don't try home anything, its too dangerous to risk their life and comfort. after all the unconditional love they've given, don't skimp out.

your cat could actually have allergies , my friend rescued a cat and she has severe allergies, she eats special food from the vet and has to get shots when she gets stuffy & congested. i would definetely bring her to the vet.good luck

Your cat needs to see the vet. Espesially since he's older - you need to be careful. He probably needs antibiotics to get rid of the virus.

You should try mixing baby cold medicine in her food and that might help. If not then take her to the vet.

Definitely bring the cat to the vet. Sounds like he/she has a UTI but better bring them in and also get meds.
