I would advise lining the edge of your property with a fence high enough that the cat cant get over it, or try some smells that cats dont like. For example cats hate the smell of vinegar, and you can put this around your property to try and deter them. Vinegar smells like cat urine to other cats, so the cat will think that another animal has already marked this territory as theirs. You can also put up motion sensors that make loud sounds like chimes around your property, this will scare the cat away.
There are also 2 products specifically made for this, one called ScareCrow. It has a motion detector that turns on like a sprinkler whenever the cat comes near it and will chase them away. The other is called Shake-Away which has been noted as one of The Best ways to deter stray cats. Heres a description:
"Shake-Away claims to be the "strongest cat deterrent in nature," and I have to agree, judging by the ingredients. Shake-Away is a granular substance with the odor of fox and coyote urine. Even territorial cats are smart enough to stay away from areas previously marked by much larger predators. One 20 ounce bottle will cover as much as 600 linear feet. Shake-Away is non-toxic to humans, animals, and flora. Like the "real thing," applications should be repeated over time or after heavy rain."
I urge you to try these, remedies as they should solve your problem, and Id hate for you to have to kill the cat.
I really hope this helps.

If you don't want to call in pest control, you could try baiting him into a large cage trap by tying a chicken inside, preferably one of the chickens you like the least. Not very humane for the bird, but you've got to break eggs to make an omelet.
Drive four hours or so in any direction, and release the cat in a wild area, preferably near some sort of water source.
Try the feed store for cage traps. It might be hard to find one big enough.

Call the DNR they trap bears off of ppl's land if they are a problem...maybe they would do that for you especially if domestic livestock is being killed. They would probly trap it in a live trap of some type and release it elsewhere. There are livetraps like Havaharts but if it is a bobcat....could you or the standard live trap handle a bobcat. A trapped bobcat would be a big handful of rippin mad fury!

this is a job for trained wildlife professionals... attempting to apprehend or " detour" any type of large big cat such as this could result in you, being severely injured or killed. Contact the Humane Society Of America and explain your situation. Also get in contact with your local wildlife warden.. I am not taking about the " dog catchers' I do hate that word.. but folks who deal with TRUE wild life.. it may be possible to " remove " the animal after tranquilizing and relocate it to a safe area not just for your animals but for the welfare of the cat. Please do not take this into your own hands!!! This MUST be done by people who do this all the time...Until you are sure what is killing your other animals if it is possible keep them as pro=tented as possible and do what you can to keep them from danger,Please also remember.. As much as you love your animals ( as I love mine)YOUR life is more important.. please do not take undo risk.

Call animal control or the DNR and they can help you out. Usually they just tranquilize it and take it out to an uninhabited area. They mark it either with a microchip or a tatoo so that if it comes back they can identify it. Unfortunately if it continues to return they have to take more drastic measures and they humanely euthanize them.
People don't like it when their dogs and cats get eaten!

Ditto on the DNR suggestion.
We have cougars in southern Michigan now. We've had dozens of sightings, and a couple of horse kills, so we're pretty sure that this isn't a "bigfoot" situation.
Wanna trade?

How do you humanely "get rid" of a cat, canines, rabbit, snake or toddler? you detect a house for it. Why do you think a fish is any much less significant or alive? locate your close by aquarium society, i'm useful they are going to purchase them or undertake them. some puppy shops will take them. or you're able to desire to locate residences for them your self or sell them on the internet.

go to a good garden center, and buy a few box's of; ANIMAL AWAY. we use it on landscape jobs to keep deer and rabbits away from plants, it will work on bobcat too. pour a barrier around the chicken coop. do not put it in the chicken pen.
