Before my cat pounces on her toys, she always yawns. Anyone know the reason for this?

LOL! I always thought my cat was acting nonchalant! You know, *yawn* no, I don't see that wiggly yarn, pounce!

many animals express either confusion or bordom through yawning. She might be a bit confused as to why her pray isnt moving....it may have developed as a habit. Also she may be confused if the toy moved before and nw its still... its normal...and its just a thing that normal cats do.
:)
Hope this helped

My cat used to do that. I know it means that she/he is stretching out his/her mind and body before she begans battle or whatever. A cat is a smart creature. They want to make sure every part of them is set and focused before they begin excersing out of the ordinary. I HOPE THIS HELPS!

Yeah she is feigning disinterest to catch them off guard. At trick cats use to make their prey think they are not hungry and only interested in taking a nap.
