Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. All loved pets go there when they die. The sick ones don't have their illnesses any more, the injured ones are made whole again, and they enjoy a happy existence playing with their toys and with one another, free from all fear and danger. Then, one day in the future, the ears prick up, the nose starts wrinking, for a familiar voice has been heard and a well-known scent detected. YOU have been spotted, walking through the crowds with outstretched arms to jump into and heart pounding with now never-ending joy. Together again, this time never to be parted, you walk up to St. Peter and go through the pearly gates to enjoy the rest of eternity in ineffable union with God and all His creatures........

As a pet lover(and yet I dont own any) I would of course say yes. I would like to offer you two things, One being a poem and the other a suggestion for a good book that made me cry. Not many things make this 22 year old guy cry lol.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

There is no way to know! You will have the occasional person who has experienced the "light" at the end of the tunnel! Near death experiences! But the only thing i can tell you is this! Having faith is the best thing! Your not suppose to know for sure! That is what faith is! If you believe that they exist and that if you truely believe confessing your sins and asking for forgiveness and not just talking to god when you need something! Thats all that matters what YOU believe! Dont let anyone ifluence your views or opinions! Cause does it honestly matter what we all think? No it doesnt! Id rather have faith in something that doesnt exist! Then to live my life misguided without a hope and a prayer!

I know for a fact that there has to be animals in heaven.I would not like it if my dear pets that have passed on are not there when I get there.and God wont's us to be happy.and I believe that everything alive like an animal has a soul in them as we do.and what would heaven be like without nature.what . just humans. everywhere. NO WAY. I wouldnt like that at all. I love nature. God loves nature.or he wouldn't have made it all.no. Your little kitty will definitely be there waiting for you in heaven. he may have made some new friends. but he will be there I guarantee you of this.I prayed about it when My Dog.[Dawg] died. and I felt reasured by the Spirit of God that Yes he went to heaven. he was a great and wonderful Dog.I am sorry for your loss.It has been 18 years and I Miss him still.

Hi dear, I am so sorry to hear about your cat. Frankly I dont know if a cat heaven exists. However, I believe that we all will go on to a much better place to be nearer to God once we die. So, I believe that the same applies to your beloved cat. Don't worry, and smile, for your cat is happy now :)

It is written in the Holy Bible that when an animal dies, it's soul goes into the ground. I don't know if the animal is conscious or not while it's soul is in the ground, but I hope wherever it goes is a nice place for I still miss Ernestine the Cat who died 5/7/06 very very very much.

Absolutely. As to cats, dogs (any animal) not having a "soul" - where on earth did that idea come from? Its not in the Bible. The Bible in fact gives us a very strong hint that when our pets die, that is not the end of it for them. Romans 8: 19 -25 says that the entire created order is anxiously awaiting the culmination of this age when they will be released from the bondage of death and decay and when they will be released into "the glorious liberty of the children of God."

I lost a beloved cat in 1994... I cried and cried and grieved for months and months. I did not get another pet until one adopted me in 1998. I don't beleive God will ignore our love and attachment to our pets. After all, He was the one who told us that He is like a Shepherd who lost ONE sheep from His sheepfold and He spared no expense or effort in looking for it and retreiving it. And when He did, He carried it on his shoulders to bring back home. So, that tells me that God completely understands how we feel about out lost pets. He has them in safe keeping in heaven. When our own time comes, we will have a happy reunion.

Of course Cat Heaven exists. There they get fresh fish and crispy cooked chicken skin whenever they want.

It is, however, fairly empty. Most cats are so naughty they go to the other place where they don't need a thick coat to keep warm and they only get supermarket own brand food.

They should get no doubt, just help. Many believe there is this place of peace and no apocallypse for poor old suffering purrers. Those who believe they travel into astral journey not just around their bodily figures claim with truth and justice there are cats in the second place of origin living mildly peacefully except in shortage of good milk or gollypicker, as they call it better, go figure. Your cat is there, Pidgeon they call him, he wants you to know he did get laid and will be at peace regardless of my remarks, he insists on delivering himself to you, not just your very tender and broad sister. He does giggle, do not believe your eyes alone. She had cavities alright. LOL. Poor kitty.

I believe that all animals have souls. It is very selfish to think that humans only have souls. If God did create animals and humans, than God gave animals an equal chance. I'm sorry, I lost my kitty to. You should get another one. All pain heals with time
