it could be because it is sick or hurt
to be safe take it to the vet

If your cat is female she is probably in heat,if it's male there might be a female cat outside somewhere that is in heat. I'd take her to the vet and have her/him checked, and probaably spayed/neutered unless you want kittens everywhere.

if you just got your cat, she might be lonely. it's scary going to a new, big place that you dont know. maybe try putting a warm water bottle under her bed and giving her lots of attention. then she'll get used to people being nice to her and she'll get used to your house.

It could be hurt or sick if a female it could be in heat or a male there could be a female in heat if you think it's hurt though you should take it to the vet

When mine crys he wants ...Water.....Or.....Food......Most of the time he wants to go outside to hang around in the bushes. Sometimes they just want to be petted.
